Shocking scenes by all accounts at Sawbridgeworth Town last night:

A MISERABLE EVENING FROM START TO FINISH

Nothing went right for Borough when they visited  Sawbridgeworth Town;  traffic problems caused delay which meant their somewhat makeshift team depleted by injuries and suspension had to make do with only rather a brief warm up period even though the referee agreed to a kick off 15 minutes later than scheduled. Sawbridgeworth tore into Borough right from the off, although the two goals they scored in the first 15 minutes owed much to Borough's sloppy defending. Thereafter it was mainly Borough enjoying the lion's share of possesssion and had not Cedric Lakole blasted high over from the penalty spot a minute from the interval the outcome might have been different.  Borough dominated the second half even though Dewayne Clarke was dismissed early on apparently for an attempted headbutt. But as Borough threw men forward late on spaces opened up for the home team to exploit and they made the game safe with a third goal just before the end of normal time. Anthony McDonald did race clear to pull one back for Borough in injury time but it was too little too late. An evening best forgotten then got even worse with some unsavoury scenes after the final whistle which undoubtedly means that a great deal more will  be heard about it  when the referees reports are processed.

I see Haringey Borough managed to secure a 2-0 win at Ilford yesterday:

A brief report from another Forum:

ESSEX SENIOR LGE
ILFORD 0-2 HARINGEY BOROUGH H/T 0-2
Admission: £4concession
Programme: free

A frustrating day for Ilford as they lost at home to a decent Haringey Borough side. The away side took the lead when they bundled the ball home from close range. The visitors doubled there lead late in the first half when they scored with a lob after the keeper made a mistake of rushing out of his goal. Ilford improved in the second half & the closest they came to scoring was when a header produced a superb point blank save from the visitors keeper.

A match report from yesterday, at least the Club made a bit of money from their brief FA Vase experience unlike previous seasons:

Haringey Borough always shyed away from publicity when I was at the Club and were never interested in Community engagement, now they seem to be shouting from the roof tops at every opportunity:

According to Haringey Borough supremo Tom Loizou he has overseen work on installing new drains at Coles Park and suggests, in this article, that 'if any games are called off during the winter months it will be the same across the league, not just Haringey Borough', I beg to differ:
