Maidstone and 3G pitches

rightly or wrongly, the conference didnt chance their minds recently about allowing the use of 3G pitches in their competion.

So, what happens now if Maidstone finish in the top 5? is a play off spot offered to the team finishing 6th? or is there some sort of bye for anyone playing them?

Just for the record, I am glad that the conference havent changed their minds and allowed 3G pitches. As Maidstone knew the rules when they installed the pitch, and im sure if it was a less fashionable non league side (if there is such a thing) like a Harrow Borough, no one would give a toss.

Nothing happens now.

IF they  get promoted then they will then need to decide what to do about their pitch for the following season. They have every right to compete in the play-offs, as bizarre as it sounds. If they win the playoffs and decide to keep the 3g (subject to whatever legal avenues they look at) then the runner-up woud get promoted I would think.

So not much point in Maidstone continuing their season then The Town Crier?
