A couple of non league snippets

Just listened/watched that Spencer video. Sounds like Scott has done some excellent early business compared to clubs like Farnborough and looking at the positivity around the signings we have made, things could well be in an excellent place.

Lexus to Maidstone is a strange one to i guess effectively replace Temi. Now, I liked Lexus as a player, but thought he was much better at RB than CB. If Maidstone have taken him as a CB, I'll be looking forward to seeing him go up against Greenidge for us.

Reggie Young another one who was decent but not a world beater and Dagenham doubling his wages to me says Dagenham (a bit like Maidenhead) won't be automatically towards the top of the division, especially with the likes of Chelmsford improving so much.

Even in early June, its already looking like a heck of a division.

As a foot note and on a massive positive for the Farnborough fans, they have an 85 inch TV in the changing rooms now😂😂😂.

If Lexus Beeden has managed to secure a place in full-time football at Maidstone, where do we think Dan Bayliss is likely to be heading? Or has his injury & inactivity at the end of last season knocked his prospects of a decent move?

It does seem odd that Baylis hasn’t announced his new club yet. I can’t believe he has that many offers on the table and he’s taking his time! Although I know he turned down money bags Bracknell.

The other team I had heard for Bayliss was Farnham (again, another money bags team).

Chesham have released their retained list for next season and Matt Lench is on it.

Not sure about Bayliss as I would have said he should be another one looking to go full time (or at least hybrid) and of course may well be.

Impressive that Chesham have managed to retain 16 players from last years squad.

After a decent first season they obviously believe that continuity is the way to go.

Now how can little Chesham afford him?

Little Chesham have a wealthy Director who no doubt will dig deep for the right players.

If signings are anything to go by you've got to include Hemel in any forecasts for the play-offs.

Like us, the only negative for Hemel is the sheer number of signings and getting them to gel as a team.

Little Chesham have a wealthy Chairman who no doubt will dig deep for the right players.

Losing Grant & Lodge to ambitious Step 3 sides will be interesting to see how we replace them.

Our Chairman is certainly not wealthy in the scheme of a league table of non league owners in this league or locally (Farnham/Bracknell)

Selling 1000+ shirts a season because of the Taskmaster sponsorship is a very helpful pot of money though I'm sure

Alex Horne is now one of the highest earning hosts on TV mainly through his Taskmaster show.

I don't know how wealthy the Farnham and Bracknell owners are but reportedly Horne rakes in 7.5 million a year from a show that's been going for 17 seasons.

He's not the Chairman. And is quoted multiple times as saying that his wife wouldn't allow him to put money into the playing budget - he's paid for a few bits of infrastructure round the ground if you read our weekly Chairmans Notes - toilets, tannoy etc

Farnham owner sold his "influencer agency" for £400m a few years ago and still runs it for the new owners

Just listened to the Spencer interview and the man sounds very bitter.

One minute calling players ar*eholes and the next saying he can't blame them for wanting to go full time and get more money.
