I went onto the Berkhamsted fc website to try to see the date of this pre-season friendly and couldn't see it anywhere, and then saw their news about them signing Charlie.

I thought I was very methodical in reading all the posts on here but must have missed the ones about Charlie going there. 😀

Management at Horsham have reported that 13 of last season's Isthmian League championship winning squad have committed for season 2025/26.

Be interesting to know if a NL club ever approached him? It’s a real kick in the teeth, as he appeared to have a strong bond with us fans. I’d be surprised if Chesham reach the play offs as surely that should be his absolute minimum tick. Anyway stuff him he’s not our player now.

Who said any of that? Do we have a bit of money compared to some other clubs maybe, are we anywhere near the money of the full time clubs or even clubs like Hornchurch signing Step 1 starters. Like you, we've been beaten to players by clubs in the league below like Bracknell & Farnham

The first part is defined as banter! Yes I know you’re not one of the big boys but like Salisbury you’ve certainly found some extra pennies (and yes I’m well jealous!). I’d rather Dan states he wanted to leave as he knew he could earn a lot more money in our division. Still be gutted but I’d respect him for being honest. Oh well adds a bit more spice to our games…

Being charitable we don't know his personal circumstances which might dictate that he's desperate to earn a few quid more to pay the bills and keep the wolf from the door.

He did seem to have a strong bond with our fans but again he's living proof there's very little loyalty in football.

I'm sure the £££'s will make up for the library that will greet him at Chesham.

It was no surprise that he was moving on…. but very disappointing to see him moving sideways at a time when we are seeing so many players leaving us & progressing their football careers.
