Biggleswade Town 8 Arlesey Town 0

Leighton Town 0 Bedford Town 2

The Final will be between Biggleswade Town and Potton United following the removal of both Bedford Town and Luton Town for rule infringements

Karen - Thanks, I guess it was the only way to stop Luton Town winning the competition wasn't it:

We can confirm that Luton Town have been removed from the Beds FA Senior Cup as a result of fielding an ineligible player in last week’s semi-final win at Potton United.

The Club admitted that the competition’s rule 8(e) had been broken and have not been fined as a result.

Potton have been awarded the tie and will now compete in the final against Biggleswade Town, after Bedford Town - the winners of the other semi-final - were also removed from the competition for fielding an ineligible player.

Just a gentle reminder from Potton United ahead of their eagerly awaited visit to Kenilworth Road on 17 March for the Final of the Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup, albeit by good fortune:

The coach to our Beds Senior Cup Final at Luton's Kenilworth Road is already half full so dont leave it too late to book your seat.

A belated notice from Potton United and I guess the same would apply to Biggleswade Town fans, what a crying shame:

County Cup Final Cancelled

Match postponed due to Coronavirus

The Bedfordshire FA has postponed all of their County Cup matches until the end of March, so therefore the Senior Cup Final against Biggleswade Town on Tuesday 17th March has also been cancelled. Those that have paid monies will receive a full refund.

By now we would have known the winners of the Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup with the Final between Potton United and Biggleswade Town scheduled for Tuesday 17 March. It was somewhat of a jinxed competition this season with postponements due to the weather, both Semi Finals reversed because of illegalities and then, to cap it all, the Coronavirus kicking in shortly before the Final was due to take place at Kenilworth Road:

Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup First Round
AFC Dunstable 4 Dunstable Town 0
Biggleswade FC 1 Crawley Green 1 (after 90 mins, Crawley Green win 3-2 on pens)
Biggleswade Town 8 Arlesey Town 0
Leighton Town 0 Bedford Town 2
Potton United 0 Kempston Rovers 0 (after 90 mins, Potton United win 4-2 on pens)

Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup Quarter Finals
AFC Dunstable 0 Luton Town 2
Bedford Town 4 Crawley Green 1

Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup Semi Finals
Potton United 0 Luton Town 1 (Potton United later awarded the tie)
Bedford Town 3 Biggleswade Town 2 (Biggleswade Town later awarded the tie)

Final (Tue 17 Mar, at Kenilworth Road)
Potton United v Biggleswade Town

A messege from the Bedforshire FA on their website, sadly the Potton United v Biggleswade Town Senior Challenge Cup Final will not be taking place:

The NLS leagues from Step 3 down to Step 7 would end immediately, with all results being expunged from the record, with no promotion and no relegation.

This decision also impacts the Women's game. The FA and the Leagues within Tiers 3 to 7 have reached a consensus to bring the season to an immediate end and all results will be expunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between Tiers 3 to 7. Agreement has also been reached to end the Regional Talent Clubs season, which was due to conclude in April 2020.

All grassroots football, adult & youth - both boys and girls, will be finished immediately, the decision on how the season is resolved lies with the leagues, meaning it is at their discretion how positions, promotion/relegation are decided, or if like the NLS and Women's pyramid they wish to expunge the results, with no promotion or relegation.

The Board of Directors have taken the decision to cancel all unresolved County Cup finals. The outcome all League Cups will be decided by the respective league committees.
