Message for ETFC supporters

Recommended Posts

Imagine this... we get to the end of the season and JC and the team do their bit by winning promotion; but we don't go up, again, and WHY, becasue the ground is not up to the required standard.

One of the things I love about ETFC is it is OUR club; not the directors, not the teams, but ours, the supporters.

If the ground is not up to standard, we can not blame any one else, but ourselves; because no one else is going to do the work, only us the supporters (and 12 blokes and 1 lady is not enuff, believe me)

So here is a suggestion for you....

DON'T GO TO THE GAME next Saturday!! <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I realise how difficult it is to negotiate going out two days on the trot and leaving partner, kids, decorating, shopping behind; but at the moment we need to putting the time at the ground, so why not give up the trip to Southend and give the same amount of time to coming down on Sunday and help get the ground up to standard?

Sorry if this casues a bit of offence, but it did strike me today how gutted I would be if we were denied promotion, because, we the supporters, owners of the club had not done enough.

So please, come on down, it is good fun, hear the gossip, and if we are really good we even get a cup of tea!

brunob - all we need is for u to give one Sunday, and that would make the difference to wether we meet the requirements fot the ground.

Cleggy - I too will be @ sarfend ( with all u southern softies) but for those guys who can not do both days; which do you think is more important? a few pints at the edge of England, in the cold or getin our own gaff up to scratch?
