Rhodes 222
Yes, we never got to the bottom of why that was did we, it's a mystery however most of the old match photographs are still accessible and some of the pre and post match video interviews which were always very interesting, I'll never forget Ant Christofi after Ampthill Town's embarrassing 3-0 defeat at Cranfield United in the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy First Round, when then Manager Paul Blackman cowardly sent the poor guy out to face the music. Winslow Boy 285
Lee Parrack was first with the club as a17 year old I think, he had been at Wycombe. Was a centre forward back then, but could also play in goal and filled in at left back too sometimes. He was quick and powerful and scored goals regularly. He’s a top lad. Winslow Boy 285
Fingers crossed it won’t be long they are walking back out in front of the locals. that tunnel is from Aylesbury Uniteds Old Ground Buckingham Road. Some non league legends have walked through that.
Rhodes 222
5 hours ago, Winslow Boy said: that tunnel is from Aylesbury Uniteds Old Ground Buckingham Road How did they transport the tunnel to Elmfields Gate out of interest, it's probably a silly question as it's not a million miles between Aylesbury and Winslow but I'm just curious
Winslow Boy 285
I think one of the chaps took his truck, lots of guys in the building game play and have played and are involved at the club, I believe we were sold or given some seats out of the stand too. The floodlights (many many years ago) came from Leytonstone, I’ll check that though.

Savagebee 311
PSF: Winslow United 3 Wantage Town 0 Alex Kedzierski netted twice and there was a debut goal for Dalitso Chibwe as Winslow United defeated Wantage Town 3-0 in a friendly played behind closed doors. The first game of the new world saw manager Paul Alleyne field a number of his summer signings, which has strengthened his squad. A competitive first 10 minutes saw Wantage hit the bar twice in quick succession. Aaron King and Kedzierski both had the ball in the net but both efforts were ruled out for offside. There was a stop in play as Lewis Merridan was felled by an extremely robust challenge that sparked some differences of opinion, but no cards were issued. New signing Fabian Garcia set up Kedzierski but his effort went just wide, before moments later the same player had a goal-bound effort blocked. Kedzierski finally put his side in front with a flying back heel from a centre by another new signing, Neil King. The same player scored his, and Winslow’s second, as he steered a header from Ellis Hercules’ cross expertly past the Wantage goalkeeper minutes later. Aaron King went close with a curling effort. The last action of the half saw Garcia’s effort hit the outside of the post after a long ball from Ryan Freshwater had played him in. Early in the second half, Freshwater had an effort from Neil King’s corner headed off the line, before Garcia rolled an effort just the wrong side of the upright. The visitors were denied by United ‘keeper Lee Parrack, who did well to get his fingers to the visitors’ effort. Freshwater then headed over from Aston Goss’s free kick. New addition Chibwe seized on a through ball and finished well to complete a good evening for the Ploughmen. Referee: Ron James.

Winslow Boy - I see that the old Buckingham Road Stadium has an application to build 42 houses on it, the site was sold to unscrupulous developers GPS Estates Limited last year who outbid the Football Club by about £300k, sadly demolition of the site started earlier this year.
