The facilities appear to be council owed so lights certainly won’t be a priority for them. We had the same issue at Miswell Lane even though we had a long lease over the pitch & clubhouse, the council refused lights as freeholders.

Aston Clinton Development are one of 45 Club's to receive a bye in the Bluefin Challenge Cup First Round and will now be scheduled their first Hellenic League Division Two North fixture on Saturday 26 September, watch this space for further details:

Aston Clinton Development will travel to Long Crendon Reserves on Saturday 26 September for their first Hellenic League Division Two North fixture of the new campaign. Whereas the likes of Buckingham Athletic Development and Old Bradwell United Development are in Bluefin Challenge Cup First Round action that day, Aston Cliton have received a bye into the Second Round so have been given a League game however, sadly, won't be gracing the hallowed Marsh Lane turf where Long Crendon's First team groundshare with Oxford City, the game will be played at the Recreation Ground in Chearsley Road, Long Crendon, kick off 3.00pm.

An excellent start to Aston Clinton Development's Hellenic League Division Two North campaign winning 3-1 at Long Crendon Reserves on Saturday (26 September) with goals from Tino Leone and a brace from Alex Little despite the home side taking the lead on fifteen minutes, Leone equalised two minutes later and it was left to Little to put the game to bed on 25 and 33 minutes, it was surprising there were no further goals in the second period. On Saturday (3 October) Aston Clinton Development entertain Kidlington Development who were also in League action on Saturday losing 8-1 at home to Easington Sports Development so there shouldn't really be any concerns for supremo Lee Harrison who will be more worried about the visit to Southam United a week later, a Club who only reformed last season and have a new stadium. The First team meanwhile started their SSML Division Two campaign with a 3-0 win at Mursley United on 19 September before entertaining new boys Berkhamsted Comrades last Saturday drawing 2-2 with a 96th minute equaliser from Luke Desmond, new boss Jack Seaton's men aren't in action on Saturday but then entertain high flying Codicote on 10 October.

No reports of problems at Aston Clinton Park as yet for this afternoon, I gather the Development side's Hellenic League Division Two North fixture with Kidlington Development is going ahead, kick off 3.00pm. First team supremo Jack Seaton must be pleased he wasn't scheduled a fixture this weekend due to the inclement weather and can concentrate on locking horns with high flying Codicote at Aston Clinton Park next Saturday who are likely to pick up another three points this afternoon against Buckingham United, weather permitting:

A brief match report from Aston Clinton Development's 3-1 win over Kidlington Development at Aston Clinton Park last week (3 October) in a Hellenic League Division Two North fixture which went ahead despite the weather conditions, Alex Little and Aaron Bonham with a brace got the goals. Yesterday however Lee Harrison's men fell to their first defeat of the season, 4-3 at Southam United's plush new Bobby Hancocks Park although that only tells half the story as having fallen 3-0 behind after only 28 minutes pulled it back to 3-3, with goals from Michael Harper, Rob Jolly and Harry Stroud, only to concede again on 81 minutes and this time were  unable to reply. It wasn't a great day at the office for the Club as, coincidentally, the First team also lost 4-3 to Codicote at Aston Clinton Park after leading 3-1 on 70 minutes with goals from Robert Doncaster, Mpumi Nyembe and Joe Smith, boss Jack Seaton won't have been best pleased with that late capitulation and has a dreaded trip to Old Bradwell United on Saturday (17 October). The Development team travel to Hellenic League Premier Division Holmer Green on Tuesday evening for a Bluefin Challenge Cup Second Round tie under the lights at Watchet Lane followed by a Chairman's Challenge Cup First Round tie at home to Division Two East outfit Watlington Town on Saturday:

Don't forget Aston Clinton Development are in Bluefin Challenge Cup Second Round action this evening at Watchet Lane and the score on the hour mark is currently 0-0 with Lee Harrison's men putting in a superb display against a Step 5 side who appear to be almost at full strength, see a link to the very impressive match programme:

The Bluefin Challenge Cup Second Round tie between Holmer Green's First team and Aston Clinton Development this evening at Watchet Lane went to a penalty shoot out after a 0-0 ninety minute stalemate and, incredibly, Aston Clinton Development have beaten Holmer Green 12-11 in a remarkable spot kick contest, very well done to Lee Harrison and his team.

The Hellenic League have made a statement on the present situation. It must be so disappointing for Lee Harrison with his men sitting third in the Division Two North table and with a Bluefin Challenge Cup Third Round tie at home to 'old foes' Risborough Rangers to look forward to having beaten Holmer Green on penalties in that epic Second Round tie at Watchet Lane in October:

Nice photographs of leafy Aston Clinton itself as well as nearby Wendover Woods owned by the Forestry Commission, it's just a shame that these sort of idyllic places pass you by when making a b line for Aston Clinton Park and other rural Division Two venues:

The 2011/12 SSML Division Two Cup Final programme between Aston Clinton and Totternhoe, played at Broadwater on Tuesday 1 May 2012, Aston Clinton won 1-0 to complete the League and Cup double that season and they retained the trophy the following 2012/13 campaign when defeating Risborough Rangers 2-0 at Chesham United. Neil Roberts scored the only goal against Totternhoe in front of an attendance of 138:

Do we know why Aston Clinton Development haven't entered the Hellenic League end of season Challenge Cup competition, there are Club's from Division Two North participating such as Adderbury Park, Headington Amateurs, Heyford Athletic, Southam United, Risborough Rangers Development and Long Crendon Reserves so it's rather puzzling particularly as new First team Managers Billy Harrison and Taylor Collins would have surely liked to see what talent they have at their disposal for next season:

The groups for the Hellenic League Challenge Cups have been drawn. Fixtures and dates will be confirmed in due course.

Aston Clinton have had a strange pre-season so far haven't they, it's as if they don't want to play however the game with Leverstock Green appears to be going ahead this evening (Tuesday 27 July) at Aston Clinton Park, kick off 7.00pm. New joint bosses Billy Harrison and Taylor Collins must be very much behind the curve which will no doubt have been noted by Codicote who entertain Aston Clinton on the first day of the new SSML Division Two campaign on Saturday 7 August:
