SloughFlyer
Just seen on twitter that today we enter the 10th year of Neil and Jon leading the Rebels. Congrats to both of them and a massive thank you from my son, my Dad and myself for all the joy and pleasure they have both bought to being a Slough supporter. 2 genuinely superb people, always got time for supporters and never shy away from "difficult" questions. Fingers crossed for many more years of success.

Neil and Jon are very humble, grounded and honourable men, praise well deserved, 10 years is some achievement in todays ruthless management game........... 3spirit
It has lasted longer than some marriages ! ha ha ! Hopefully with not so many arguments. Well done to Neil and Jon. They should be very proud of what they have achieved for Slough Town FC over the tenure of their ten years at the club. As a fairly long time fan of our football team, I was slightly suspicious of their aims when they first arrived at our club from Godalming FC but it didn't take long for them to win me over, in just how good they are as managers and knowledgeable football people. I found their approach so refreshing in that they didn't follow the standard line of a lot of typical football men of the time back then, by bluffing fans with bulls*it, and to me they breathed new life into our football club, and have continued this way of doing things to this day. Since Steve Easterbrook left they have become a little bit more cagier to what they tell us fans but perhaps that's the sign of the times. Whatever I'm still glad we have them as our managers, and considering they've been at our club for ten years that's some feat, as often at a football club fans want a manager gone nearly as quick as he has arrived ! Of the contact I've had with them both, I have always found them sound, honest guys, and would happily buy them a drink in a pub if I ever saw them out, something which I wouldn't consider with everyone I come across ! ! ! So Bakes and Unders, here's to the next ten years !..............
Matt
Not to take anything away from Neil and Jon but to clarify, they’ve been at the club 9 full years and are now in their tenth!
