yet another draw for draw speciaIists Leverstock Green this afternoon who have just one League win since Tuesday 16 August. Fergus Moore's men Ied twice at 1-0 and 2-1 with goaIs from Dan Pett and Chris Blunden however couIdn't shake off a dogged Biggleswade United side:

1 league defeat in 12 and zero losses against any of the teams considered favourites for promotion places but yet again you cannot help yourself Rhodes putting a negative spin on things.......

About time you come to The Lords Builders Merchants Stadium and see a progressive club for yourself rather than posting far away from your ivory tower talking to yourself?

I might even let you in for free!

It's aII about Leverstock Green isn't it, a groundhopper from another Forum was in attenance at Pancake Lane:

Spartan South Midland Premier
Leverstock Green 2-2 Biggleswade United

Entry: £8, Attendance: about 80 or so
Feisty match between two sides both out for the win, and all the better for it. Leverstock twice took the lead and bossed much of the game, but Biggles fought back well both times - their first equaliser was a stunning strike from way out on the left touchline that blasted into the far top corner, the kind of goal that Lineker and his chums would’ve been creaming themselves over if it’d appeared on tonight’s Match Of The Day. A fine contest all round with a fair final result, and friendly hosts into the bargain.
I’d originally contemplated a visit to Pancake Lane on a midweek evening, but am now glad I gave over a Saturday afternoon for it - it’s further out on the eastern fringes of Hemel Hempstead than I’d previously realised, though the no.20 and no.302 buses offer a quick escape back into Hemel afterwards. For those driving here, the parking is inside the ground itself behind the top end goal - what with the persistent rain this afternoon, several seemed to choose watching from inside their cars, though there’s enough decent cover on both sides along with a welcoming Clubhouse.
Of all the post-War new towns scattered through the Home Counties, I’ve long had a soft spot for Hemel Hempstead. And this feeling has been further enhanced by the opening of the GBG-listed Monk’s Inn micropub in the town centre since my previous visit. An impressive range on tap today, as well as it providing a good home for pieces of the furniture from the much-missed Bree Louise of Euston.
