CANVEY 4 - 0 HALSTEAD

Recommended Posts

Not many canvey followers were in attendance today for this game, which is expected as we have so many other games coming thick and fast.

Many of the players who played last night were again playing today so i think they will feel they deserve a rest after this one. who would be a footballer.

Two of the trialists scored today. Ahmed mouyouokouop (try saying that after a few pints)and matt josepth scored our 1st & 2nd, ollie got the 3rd, not sure if spencer knight is on trial or not but he come on as second half sub and scored our 4th with a nice finish.

Ahmed played fairly well yesterday took his goal well after a nice one two with leon gordon on the edge of the area. Showed some neat touches but did look a bit lost at times, not surprising though as it will take time to get used to the way we play. also he won a fair few headers

Mo - A big strong player, I thought he had some nice touches and took up some nice positions during play, I thought Mo looked better when Bourne started exploiting the right wing with some nice runs and good ball control, Bourne connected well with Parmenter and Mo in opening up the Halstead defence which I must add didn't prove to be too strong. We missed a heap of scoring chances during the later stages, most probably through lack of knowing each others styles!!

The guy whose name I forget ( i think he's from Northampton), played in the middle of the park all game today and worked his ass off. Played some nice football and won some good tackles and read the game very well.

Spencer Knight showed some good touches and looks to be on the road to recovery after his mystery injury. Came up with a nice finsh for his goal but sometimes looked lost in the middle of the park...always looking for his left foot...but a well done to Spenc for getting stuck in and fighting his way back to fitness. I always thought he was a quality player.
