Diary of a Rebel

Watched our mainly reserve side lose to Abingdon United followed by an hour in their club bar discussing why STFC are better than WEFC.

We came to the conclusion that we are a bigger club, with more fans, and more chance of winning the league this year due to the fact we don't have to rely on a couple of pensioners to lead our attack and command the defence.

We also discussed how funny it was that we outnumbered our landlords 4 to 1 at both derby games last season.

We look forward to embarassing them again this year.

DR, starting early with the wind-ups aren't we?

Don't forget your much bigger club with many more supporters still finished behind us last season - who's embarrassed about that?

If Dedworth is so bad why not move?, I'm sure you would get preferential treatment if you put your name down for one of the new houses at Wexham Park!

Yes your a bigger club. You've BEEN in the Connference for crying out loud. And yes you have got more fans than us. Do you think we don't know that? As Steve R says we came above you in the league (only by one point but still) Plus this summer we've really got some very good players whilst you've been in chaos.

You've posted this just to get a reaction and i will not...Yet!

See you at OUR ground in December.

Woody, your spot on. Its just a windup we planned last night to see who would bite first, you or Chels. I must admit I'm very surprised by your restraint.

Apart from a couple of hundred fans and a home ground there's not much difference between the two clubs, and its nice to be in the same league and have some derbies.

As for the chaos you mention, yes we have had problems with sorting out planning permission for a ground but on the playing side we are very settled and well prepared for the new season.

Bradford City, but I don't like to talk about that. I just live in this area and try to follow the non-league teams here.

The way I see it. They (Windsor) have a ground, you don't. You've got got potential support (was it 1,500 that went you FA Cup tie a couple of seasons ago?) Windsor haven't.

It makes sense to merge. Any neutral would say the same.

Doctors have discovered that LAMINITUS is a form of sexual fetish which occurs when individuals have an uncertenty about where they live and causes outbursts of abuse with no foundation or truth involved.

Nice one wise woman. Funny how it is always neutrals banging on about merger. Bradford are in administration aren't they? Don't own their own ground do they? Why don't you lot merge with Leeds and Huddersfield. Make a triumverate of near bankrupt clubs. Makes sense to me. Merge Sheffield United and Wednesday while your at it.

Merger does not make any sense to anyone with any idea of the history or passion of the fans of the clubs involved.

Anyway, to the Windsor boys good luck for the season (except against us obviously).

Hear hear Martin.

Wise Woman is not a fan of Slough or Windsor so wouldn't know about the local pride we have in our teams. Besides with, both Slough and Windsor are big enough towns to support football teams at a decent level.

Read the small print chaps!

I said 'As a neutral',

Of course you don't want to merge, no supporter wants to merge with their rivals. It's just in nearly every case, especially this one, both clubs would benefit.

I know you were commenting as a neutral. But no-one who supports either club is a neutral. So neither set of supporters would see the benefit.

As I said it is only ever neutrals who see it as a good idea.

It will never happen so this has all been a waste of time anyway.
