It's a bit different to JSSW, and it's free and on Radio 2

 

"The performance is for a show indeed called Jammin' which has 2.5 million listeners. In it former jazz drummer and colourful bon viveur Rowland Rivron and his band attempt to prove that rock n roll is the new comedy (or something like that).

 

Jammin is a show built on a premise; a lot of comedians are frustrated musicians and a lot of musicians are frustrated comedians. Each week Rowland assembles a different five piece band, reaching new heights of pointless virtuosity in an attempt to prove said premise. Rowland drums & presents the show simultaneously joined by his backline, on keyboards Comedy Store regular Richard Vranch and on bass Bootleg Beatle Dave Catlin Birch.

 

To complete the band they then add two special guests, a comedian and a musician. This show will feature both Jim Bob and Robert Newman doing their take on a few songs. It should be a great fun day - and the first chance in a while to see Jim play with a band.

 

Recording takes place on 8th November at The Drill Hall in the heart of London's West End (http://www.drillhall.co.uk/). If you want a free ticket simply ring the number above. Recording will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm. The show will air next February."
