Yes he is being serious, that's the amount of money they wanted & personally I think it is a disgrace.

Why dont the league do a pennent and send every club a few and then when someone does score a hat-trick the details could be filled in and signed by all the players?

Match balls are match balls. Concord are hard-up these days and with half their season gone they have to make money where they can.

 

I think it is a bit mean spirited but i don't begrudge them trying to make some money for their club. How much does Neil Richmond have to pay when he gets a hat-trick? I just ask for consistency rather than just fleecing the town.

Junior, it is the principal of the thing. When you get a Hat Trick you "GET GIVEN" the match ball, you don't expect to have to pay for the bloomin thing. Grrrr!!!

i have never heard of a player at this level being given the match ball after scoring a hat-trick!

 

chalky got a hat-trick on the 1st day of the season at home and he certainly didn get the match ball! all he got was to buy everyone a drink!

 

in fact if any of your players got that many against us we will charge £175!!!! unless we still win then we can negotiate!

Pinn if this is the case i WANT the match ball from the first game of the season, i know exactly what it looks like!!

 

Should be an entertaining game tonight as i know there were a few of our boys out on the razzle last night, i have the 4 abusive messages still left on my phone.. last one was left at 1:50am

We offered to replace the ball so that they wouldn't be out of pocket, but that wasn't good enough for them!.
BTW matchballs cost in the region of £20-£25.
