Frustrating one this, for a couple of reasons.

We didn't really get going until the final quarter of the match.

Prior to that it had been fairly unremarkable stuff with a lot of hit and hope, particularly from the home side. Macca was injured and was a big miss (Danny K was struggling with 'flu, Stephens started at right back). Elder started in place of Ross and did OK up front, but once again we struggled to defend a high free kick into the box and they capitalised to take the lead. First half in particular we tended to overhit the final ball, and weren't able to get many quality crosses into the box.

Last 20 minutes we clicked into gear, got the equaliser with a sweetly struck shot from Dorms, hit the woodwork (Cuz) and had a goal disallowed (Cuz again).

Another frustration was the big refereeing decisions went against us. Their keeper should have been sent off early on went he clattered Cuz just outside the D. Nobody seems to know what the free kick that led to their goal was for, Saps was booked for dissent apparently. I couldn't see whether Cuz' "goal" was offside, suggestion was the ball came off a defender though so it shouldn't have been. Watching the highlights looked a clear pen as well when Cousins was pulled back when trying to get to a header.

Thirdly I find it bizarre that after all the fuss they were making about their club being in trouble there wasn't more of an effort made. Half hour before the game there were hardly any Dover fans putting their money over the bar, and not many afterwards either. Saw 2 people making a quick sweep with a bucket but other than that nothing, nobody tried to flog a raffle / goden goal / 50:50 ticket to me. Their fans were generally very quiet as well.
