Porter's suffered from injuries, but has looked pretty good when he has played at the centre of defence.

 

Jay has been pretty reasonable, and although he hasn't been brilliant at centre-back when he's played there, it seems clear that this isn't his favoured position.

I was in a minority of one, but i never rated Manny when at the Gate.

 

Early flourishes, then when pitches get heavy, he fades into oblivion ,with the odd flash game to keep his name in forefront of everyones mind.

Not a good finisher and is quick but the final ball is not effective very often

 

Too inconsistent.

 

We are missing Porter and Jay, but Gradley and Bouadji are useful.

Agreed, Mike. Manny blows hot and cold and appears injury prone, like Porter.

Jay has been very good though, earning a regular spot in the centre of midfield. Definately got our respect.

I'll second that. I have to say I was a bit bemused with michael's promises earlier in the season when Manny was in good form that he would fade away somewhat, but they have been borne out to an extent. However, Manny has been injured, and we all know that on his day he's a fine player, as demonstrated in the first half against Barnet. Just like with Jukebox, it's things like that that make his disappointing displays all the more frustrating.

 

As for Porter, Gary, both the NLP and BBC say he is available for selection again (although given their past records with factual inaccuracies, I'd treat this with caution). If true, it'll be interesting to see if he features.

one of the greatest shouts i have heard at the fleet came, when someone shouted towards the end" man of the match for gravesend........SMITH" nearly soiled my self, he was guff!

no definitely when he was GUFF!!! so so amusing to see him panic like he was frightened of the ball!

yesterday he had his moments as well!! that diving punch was majestic. rolling around on the floor like a toddler
