Surveyors / Council decision

Was'nt there always going to be 14 days for council to consider the 'final proposal'/recommendations of the appointed quantity surveyor or whoever.

I would not think that MFC would comment further at this stage for fear of prejudicing the decision

Been thinking about this and it could be good that with everyday that passes with nothing coming from the council our chances are improved as I would have thought that even the council would be chumping at the bit to let the people know that they were right all along with their valuations.I know theres those 2 weeks but even so a leak would be hard to withold I would have thought.Perhaps Ian Day could get some inside info as he seems to manage at other times.(no dig Ian just saying)

And then theres the clubs side of things as they must surely be given a copy of the report from the surveyor. We need to know just who the surveyor is and what his decision is too, just like the council do. After all it is OUR club/Mr.Lever who is paying for it.So it could be said on the other hand that unless restricted by the council or if the report is kept from the club(which shouldnt be)the club would be dying to tell the world that they in fact were correct in their valuations. Maybe they wont get the report till after the decision but it IS them who are paying for it so I would assume MR.Lever would be insisting he get a copy BEFORE the council decide.

Yes thinking about it the LONGER we hear NOTHING the better our chances I.M.O.

Or it could be as MM says in his last sentence above.

No news is good news isn't that what they say!

Its hard but lets keep our heads up and BELIEVE.

So he says he dosent know how the independant surveyor can ACCEPT it? Well that means surely that it HAS been PASSED.This sounds positive to me,without raising hopes too much.

S.E. hasn't said it is a NO-GO though has he?

This dosent sound like a "chumping at the bit" to get it out then and in fact perhaps this surveyor HAS found it to be viable. Without hearing S.E.s words and how he's saying them we can't really come to a conclusion but if he is saying this and he has the report in front of him then perhaps he is sounding of "sour grapes".Did he sound angry or annoyed? Its a bit early for him to be saying ANYTHING, unless it is bad news for him.

Where was his interview made ANON?, Who with? Which Radio station ?

Further to the above it would only be normal for US to be talking the same way if it went against us. We would be saying the complete opposite to that which he has said wouldn't you think. Maybe this is a statement made with him feeling embarrassed. But with him STILL believing that it is NOT viable. Maybe he cant believe his employeews have cocked up so badly with their valuations etc. This, after the very first day the report is supposed to have come in. Again (without counting those chickens)this sounds "positive" news and not the opposite.

OH! But who has seen it? S.E has seen it before. If we are talking about the surveyor seeing it and not thinking much of it then it is S.E. not waiting those 14 days to crow then. Now I have rather more negative thoughts again.

Wont take 14 days to announce his decision cos as i said he thinks its krap as he has seen it, not robust no forecasts as asked for. even if independant said yes he would not recognise it.

Given the sensitive nature of where the club and development partners are, I guess "no news" is just that - not good or bad. I don't doubt that conversation are happening at some level or another, but they should not be happeneing in public, and "statements" could just be perceived as "public comment". So I'd suggest that as frustrating as it is, nothing official and final from either party is what one would expect.
