He didn't really get a chance did he ? He looked ok the one game I saw him come on as sub ( V Leigh ?) then he was shipped out on loan....didn't seem much point in the whole exercise to me ?

Reckon he could have done a good job for us though....especially with our recent goal drought...hindsight's a great thing isn't it ??

According to an article in yesterday's NLP, Taff Islam is still our player. He was refered to 2 or 3 times in a special report on Asian players. The info seemed up to date. Andy Ford spoke about him and was refered to as our ex manager. Can someone authoritative confirm his present status? kmj.

Usually the program fixtures and results are printed with our goals first, that's probably why it looks wrong.

Yes, quite right AC and if it was why did`nt I get an invite ? Perhaps it was due to strangling that supporter behind the goal ?

Hmmmm....a Springfleet/Fleetway reunion ?? Not quite ! I am surprised you recognised us in our "civilian" gear !!

I felt like I was going to work !! Anyway, I was a guest of the match sponsor !!A very pleasant day....apart from the first half !!Not much leg room for the "fuller figure" in those seats !!

It isn't wrong, it just looks wrong, because they print our goals first. So with the Dagenham game, it would be printed 0-5, even though we were away, because we scored 0, and they scored 5. The opposition goals always come second, no matter whether we are home or away.

You imply that this is really OK. However, if the results chop and change between putting our score first but in some cases second, isn't this misleading? As for the separate section of match stats for players who are no longer at the club ( but query Islam being correct in this category ), wouldn't it have been easier to have left these players in the same list as the remaining squad with an asterisk or some other symbol denoting that they had left? Having removed the departed players stats from the current players it is no longer easy to work out what the composition of the team was in a particular game. This informative double page in the programme is already running into space problems. I just wonder why these problems should be increased by this particular amendment? kmj

He was loaned out to Erith, but hasn't played for them since scoring on October 18th against Wivenhoe, according to their website. I was led to believe that he was still out on loan, but currently injured.
