Hi folks I moved to the area a few months ago and started watching enfield town. I've only just found this forum. Can I make a suggestion that we publicize it more. there should really be a link from the website. Look forward to chatting to you all soon.

Hope to meet a few friends once the new season gets underway. Are there likely to be a number of changes to the squad as some of the lads won't be up to SLE level football (no insult intended)

I can't put anmes to all the faces yet but the big guy up front who used to come on as a sub springs to mind as does the thin guy with the spiked hair

Ah, the penny drops. It must be Asa Pamplin I was thinking of. I noticed on another forum that he has gone to Hornchurch. I take it billy that you are a former player. When did you turn out for Town?

I have to say Billy that the few games I have been to I have really enjoyed. Yes the fans are great. You don't often get much in the way of atmosphere at lower nonleague grounds.

 

With regards to nickynoc, I've seen a number of your piostings on these forums and have to say that you really need to grow up. Banter between rival fans is fun but you take things too far. I don't know what your problem is but you are an embarrassment to your club and football in general.

We wern't kept in the dark.We knew the allegations and exactally what the leyton chairman was like.The board had the full backing from fans in defending the accusation of libel.Unfortunatly we don't have Costas influence or money.

...and from what I remember the court decided his good name wasn't worth all that much!

New Towner - the court case was/is a matter of public record and no member of ETFC was kept in the dark, it was discussed openly at a members meeting.

 

this unoffical forum, is not the place to get dragged into a debate about what happened in the past; especially as we are now looking to the future.

Hi New Towner, nice to have new names on here, come & say hello at the next game you attend (friendly or 1st league game) you will find a lot of us on here behind the goal,

Southport is the one you will need an interpreteur with,

 

Junior will sell you a 50/50 ticket,

 

Compo is the one in John Motsons coat and laughing (ask junior about his laugh!!)

 

Happy is the one buying Southports pints as he is so tight he squeaks,

 

Squadron leader & co will sell you the best bread pudding you will ever taste (by the way the corner bits are mine!)

 

Brunob will supply you with lots of action shots of Super Kev...(well when I say action....)

 

Father Jack can supply you answers to any question ETFC related in under 4 minutes!,

 

AndyETFC (or Dad) will tell you where to park, extract money from you, tell you where you can or cant stand & randomley berate the ref, he also does live text updates from games you cant get too.....(ask Southport & Compo)!!

 

Its a good craic on here, except when you get planks like Shadow or nickynoc best just to leave them to their own world!

There is a link to the main forums page in the menu. That's as close as you're going to get.

I also suggest you check out the stats pages on the main web page - which will give you LOADS of stuff about Town players past and present.
