What's the best Billericay goal you have seen ?

Recommended Posts

Being only 19yo I am not to sure who it was but I remember once being told of a sending off of one of the main players at the time really, really, really quick from memory

They may have been coming off the bench and then got sent off but that makes little sense as subs were only being introduced at the time in the big leagues

But then the whole 70s knowledge was gained whilst drunk so his hayiz at best

In my drunken haze another springs to mind(super) Johnny Hooker beat about 5 Worthing bods rounded the keeper and knocked home the 4th in a 4-0 win 1st game of season one year.

Sending off's Gary Howard and Danny Hazel same game against the filth 2-0 Hazel's hack was 1st class even got a wave as he was sent off.

There's some memories in there. Russell Kean still remains though, the best ever sending off with a straight left hook! Although I didn't actually witness this, I'm reliably informed that Freddie Clayden, coming on as a sub, was red-carded after about 30 seconds for lamping a Basildon player in a 'derby' match!

As for goals, who remembers Jason Broom running the entire length of the pitch to score?

That was Geoff Aslett actually, but the rest is true - and I was there to witness it (in my short trousers of course... )
