The pitch looked good today.

When I went to the ground last sunday the pitch didn't look up to much but I tell you what, what a difference a week makes. It now looks fantastic!

 

Peter Norton, the groundsman, has done a fantastic job as he always does and is possibly still at the ground as I write this, the man is one of the many unsung heroes that has put the club where it is today.

 

The pitch through out the season takes a lot of wear and tear and Peter does a fantastic job to making it a suitable platform for three teams to display their talents. If it's not us it's Dartford and then after that he has to prepere for Charlton Ladies the following day, that must be pushing 70 games a season.

 

The guys a legend as far as I'm concerned!

 

It will be interesting to see how many of you agree.

On top of his talent he is also a very nice man to talk to,and is not big headed about his very impressive talent, he will always find time to talk to you if you ask him a question.So yes Harry, he gets my thumbs up as a legend.

after chatting to peter saturday herr is one of the best unsung heroes at club. just on the hours he does puts most of us to shame.
