...but so will Jenas...

Recommended Posts

Jermaine Jenas is poised to complete an £8m move from Newcastle to Spurs on Wednesday after undergoing a medical.

The 22-year-old is understood to have been released from England duty on Tuesday in a bid to seal the move before the transfer deadline.

Newcastle have been resigned to lose Jenas since he admitted he was unhappy at St James' Park, even though he started the season in the team.

Jenas said life at Newcastle was like "living in a goldfish bowl."

Arsenal had also been linked with Jenas, but boss Arsene Wenger insisted he had no interest in the midfield man.

Huddlestone can play midfield.

Not sure.

He's a proven goalscorer, and has scored some crackers at that, but he's another one unproven at Premiership level.

I reckon he could be picked up for about £1.5m, spend a season in the reserves, and may be ready to challenge Reid for a place by 2006/07.

Could be a sound investment that. Do Spurs have a feeder club he could maybe go on loan to for a year so at least he's getting first team action ?
