Ground Improvements

Following on from comments in the merger thread, have the club made any enquiries about obtaining grants to help improving the ground? I see on the BBC Football site that Gravesend have just been awarded £70,000 to help them do up one end of their ground and thought Windsor could try a similar effort?

good idea,might be worth a try and we could get some cover behind the goals,just something simple to keep the rain off perhaps???

Well the supports club is trying to raise money for cover behind one of the goals.

 

I seem to remmeber the club looking for grants to build a training pitch. No idea if we got them or not.

 

P.S Matt I'll bring the flag sometime tommorow...would you be awake at 10am or shall i bring it after work?

Yes, the club have been actively seeking financial help in the way of grants to enhance the ground.

 

One of the biggest problems we have had in the past is that grants are only normally given to those clubs that have a good structure of youth football and not just one team clubs.

 

We have now linked ourselves with a local youth side that spans almost every age group with two sides playing in most age groups.

 

We are now waiting to hear if we have been successful with our application.
