100 years of football at Stonebridge Road......... and nothing?

Recommended Posts

yes i think it is a shame ok we had a pre-season friendly against charlton but it was a reserve side. It would be nice we did do something good to celebrate as there wont be another 100 hundred years at stonebridge road because we will 1 be all dead and be in a new stadium.

Pathetic.

Can't really disagree with that Harry. There aren't many other grounds in Britain that have been used for so long and haven't changed all that much in appearance for much of that period.

Mike, all the fans who attended the first match are dead but it hasn't stopped the football.

The reason most stadiums don't last 100 years is that teams move to a better stadium since you have expressed the desire for us to be in a new stadium and lets be honest, the only reason we still play at Stonebridge road is that we can't afford to move, what you are suggesting we celebrate is 100 years of poverty in Northfleet.
