What comes across is that, when one of their own actually stands up and says, "hey guys, come on, we're talking [****!!****] - lets give some thanks to BTFC for helping to keep the name of City alive", they abuse him...

Nice. I would suggest that the bitterness comes from CCFC supporters.

Oh and TC, they metion that we're panicing because we won't be able to afford our team, ground, tea bar, club house, broom with which to sweep it, etc., etc. without their fantastic financial support again....

What a bunch of [****!!****]

Maybe that’s because of the propaganda they have been fed, maybe it's just a wind up.

But it has become a bit tedious.

The Fact is. their lease ended at the end of last season. It was well known that I didn’t want to renew their lease, not because of any bad feeling, just simply because It would give us the option of reserve team football if we so wished.

But...after 7 seasons, and because I genuinely get on well with the Chelmsford board, have a lot of sympathy for non league, and fully understand the difficulties in running a non league club, a decision was made to allow them to stay.

It was the right decision. I would have always regretted it had I not offered them the chance to stay. We should treat others in the way that we would want to be treated. Packing them off with no regard to recent history and their short term problem would have been wrong. But I don't need or demand that they be gratefull, thats not why it was done. It was done to help and it was unconditional (we take the rent of course <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

As for their fans being grateful, of course they were grateful in the beginning, I think it fair to say the majority were very grateful to find a club that was willing to let them share and continue as CCFC, but I guess for some you can only be grateful for so long, and now they have a ground to go to, they no longer need us.

But as I said above It was never conditional, and they are right, previously it was mutually benificial.

Does it really matter what a few CCFc fans think?

I respect and get on well with the CCFC board, as I did with their last Board. 99% of non league clubs officials are facing the same problems day in day out, and they are, in my experience, all friendly nice people.

It’s a shame that some fans, and most clubs have them, think they know what’s going on when they clearly haven’t got a clue, and when someone talks sense to them they just refuse to listen and comprehend.

Wouldn’t it be boring if were all the same though.

Football is passionate and about opinion, both on and off the field of play.

I love it!

Now…next Tuesday for 90 min’s they are the enemy , let hope we stuff the fckers 3-0
