"The Final Countdown" Theme Song

I like it to be honest. Its been the song for many years now and when it comes on its when i start getting ready for the game, drum on etc.

If the players like it aswell then maybe it should just be left.

Ive notice on other teams forums about theme tunes that there team's run out too. Interesting reading people opinions on what thier teams should run out too.

altough the final countdown is an apuling song, it is a fantasic intro. the trouble is that it is sometimes started to early. it should start just as the player are about to step foot outside and turned off before those dodgy rockers start singing.

i would like to see a song played everytime we score a goal. i remeber one of the pre season friendlys we went to and they played song 2 (another song i detest) everytime they scored. if i remeber they put seven past us and it really really really got on my títs

Yeah I remember that Folkestone trip well. Not a particularly good combination of seafood and beer!!!

bannana boy bladdered again ken. I think he's turning into a northern monkey.

Folkestone was a great day out though, hot and sunny on the seafront and loadsa lager!!!

Don't think it was 7 goals though, 5-1 if i remember and we did go on and win the FA Trophy that season. Always fancy a nice return trip there. Fantastic pubs and seafood stalls and there was a Russian submarine parked in the harbour which i believe some of the lads went on-board. Has to be a hot summer day though.

Back to the music chaps and one tune i feel would be a good run out tune is the "Match of the Day" theme, just music and no screaming, long haired, headbangers giving it large on a very dated track.

Don't care what they run out to - but how about some of those pom pom wielding girlies to greet them? just like the Hammerettes or Urchinettes.

Think that is the next big step in the clubs development - who wants a poxy new ground.

We need the Canveyettes!! can the club afford some yellow and blue pom poms? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> or do I need to see a specialist?

PS - Anybody know how Gullivers beak is after being clattered by the ball? transported safely all the way from America and destroyed between the posts at Canvey.

I think the club has just blown this month's budget on some yellow and blue Serviettes for the
sponsors lounge!! and Gullivers beak may be the subject of a plastic surgery fund.

Thought the Folkestone game was before the 2002/03 season. I think a certain Dean Greygoose was playing that day.

Couldn't we buy the Urchinettes for a large fee?
