Directions to Melbourne Park

By road

Take the main road to Chelmsford (B1007) and follow all the way. At the end of B1007 turn left at the lights going straight over first round-a-bout and then under the viaduct. Straight on at first set of lights then turn left at second set of lights (B1060, Sawbridgeworth) into Rainsford Road. After approximately 1 mile at second set of traffic lights turn right into Chignal Road. Further 1 mile take a right turn into Melbourne Avenue and immediately before the flats take a left turn into Salerno Way.

 

By train - changing at shenfield

Trains depart Billericay at 15 & 45 for Shenfield. Then Shenfield for Chelmsford at 31 & 01. Returning from Chelmsford, trains depart at 57 & 29 to Shenfield. Then from 20 & 50 from Shenfield to Billericay.

 

From Chelmsford Town Centre, buses 47, 54, 54a and 56 go to Melbourne Avenue. You should get off at Melbourne shops.

The railway ticket office will wonder why all of a sudden there are a number of townfolk getting tickets to Chelmsford on 2nd !

Does anyone know, if the buses run as normal on Bank Holiday?

As it is sales season would imagine there will be a decent enough service as Chelmsford will probably be very busy that day with shoppers.
