RF, as well as Slough, Wimbledon and Billericay fans being excluded - I, of course, follow Braintree's fortunes. I am excluded at home, but can access at work.

 

I also noticed the thinly veiled threat above about the admins here also. Contrary to the view above, I have noticed no "bile" from you, just reasoned argument.

 

This is a sad state of affairs.

the saddest thing about it all Lee is that you are condoning it....ryman fan has a track record on these forums recently of causing trouble and abusing other clubs fans...that will be dealt with I am certain shortly...he has also changed his name from 'champions elect' thru which he pretended to be a ricay fan...all of which you of course know...

 

your continued presence on here attemting to stir the situation up does you no justice at all...you are the chairman of a football club and should yourself be vigorously campaigning to stop vile and abusive posters damaging forums...you yourself practice much moderation on your own forums do you not.?

 

I understand that you have recently set up your own alternative isthmian forum and I sincerely hope and trust that the users do not post the dreadful and vile abuse that I removed from the isthmian forum on saturday...

 

in my opinion...you have chosen to actually condone these actions by your posts on here..an open forum read not only by fans and players but also league officials....I hope that you have thought that thru properly.

 

I would suggest that you should be setting a better example to all...everyone knows from your log in name who you are..

 

and for the record a lot of those posts have been printed off before being deleted...

now let me put it to you like this..

 

on saturday afternoon a coordinated and visciously abusive attempt was made to spam the forum..I saw this upon my return home at 7ish and started to delete the rascist abuse and the death threats to peoples/players/officials and their families...the originators of the posts then started to abuse me and I couldn't keep up with it...

 

I spoke with admin 2 and another admin and we all reluctantly agreed that the only way to prevent the closure of the board was to ban the ip no which was an aol dial up 195.93.21.39...

 

the consequences of this were that several innocent users were caught up in it. I have apologised publicly for that and do so again here and now...

 

I have no problems with what I did and am in fact amazed that yourself (newly registered here yesterday) and a couple of others users (including a club chairman who should know better)

seek to belittle my actions and make light of the horrific posts made on saturday and subsequently copied (mostly and enough) and then deleted by myself...

 

I think that decent people will support my actions had they seen the posts (which many indeed did) and feel that anyone spitting their dummies out on here must be viewed with extreme caution as to their motives.

 

the situation will not change and you must therefore do what I have done and that is get another service provider for the time being (yes I banned msyelf from using aol which I have along with several other providers)..

 

hurling petty insults at me on here is not doing your cause any good and frankly I don't think too many people are listening...

 

you will I am sure be pleased to know that the isthmian board is now calm and being enjoyed by genuine users..

 

apologies once again to anyone inconvenienced by the ban on aol dial ups..... broadband aol users should be able to get back on by unplugging their connection to the service provider..reconnecting and rebooting their PC's (I am advised of this by aol but have not tried it)..

 

and no... the registration of the forum will not prevent what happened on saturday as anyone can register under false details and still spam the board thru aol which would only result in the same situation developing that we have now...

 

hopefully I have explained myself to you correctly and we can now move on as this thread is actually becomming repetitive which I am sure will upset users here.

REPLY: I disagree that my presence here stirs anything up, I am contributing to the content of this thread and state my views in the same way that you or anyone else may. Being chairman of a football club gives me no obligations to any forum, sorry. It is simply your interpretation of what a chairman should do - why not try the job for size one day? I am man enough to be chairman. I have made mistakes and, I suspect, will continue to do so! You often comment upon them, if I recall. But I am content with what I do.
