Think what a good season w'eve had,think how much fun w'eve had.............

 

I believe that that last Saturdays events were unknown to the club.....obviously until they happened.

 

Clearly no was 'in the frame' for JLO's job....the club wanted him to stay, i beleive.

 

A lots happened and a lots been said......but now we know where were playing next year, and it's winnable we should, in my opinoin, get behind the club.....and move forward as one.

 

JLO has been great ( better than we ever thought) but we MUST move on.

 

Thanks, Johnny.... i'm sure your want the club

to continue on the upward path that YOU started.

 

Come on Guys and Girls lets get behind the club in another hour of need......

I agree with what you say Trigger,but some appear to be seriously narked about things that have gone on.

 

All i know is what read i on the forum,so i am confused to the real issues of others.

 

I know they are not happy and probably have good reason and i can read between the lines at some of the problems,but do not understand why they are so seriously vexed.

Unfortunately thats not my view matt. I have such a feeling of deja vu.

We will never know what has really happened (as per), but what I cant understand is how someone who has done so well for the club can be "let go" so easily. I just makes no sense.

There is a lot more to this ,but like i say, we will never know.

It's a bitter pill for me to swallow i'm affraid and at this moment in time i cannot move on. I've grown to love the club (unlike what some people think), theres still alot of water to flow under that BRIDGE before i'll be happy!!!!!!!

unfortunately westy there is no news...JL has resigned and the club will appoint a new manager in due course....several well known candidates have spoken to the club as indeed have several unknown ones and we have a very open mind...

 

Tony Choules was NOT offered the Hx job although we have spoken to Tony this week...the travelling would have been onerous for him and the Uxbridge job was a natural move for Tony being only a few miles from his home and we recommended to TC that he take the Uxbridge job......

 

no one has been offered the Hx job as yet...

 

Tim Hambley was another obvious candidate to consider but after speaking to Tim it was clear that his current work commitments prohibited his involvement at this stage in his career...Tim will however play an important role next season...he has a lot to offer the club in the future..

 

as soon as an appointment is made it will be announced on here...to the press and on the clubs official website that day....

taken out of context mate from JL's answer fone and you know it...we were discussing managers and I said that TC would please the fans...(please the fans by the way doesn't mean you and your dozen or so cronies..it means the other 500) and so he would have done had we appointed him....he was and is a good guy....don't you agree...?

Come on chaps, no matter how how much people argue JLO ISNT coming back....granted he was a superb manager (and we have had a few) its time to move on ! the forum is about open views and opionions but things have been put on here that perhaps shouldnt of !

we all have one thing in common and thats supporting Hornchurch through and through...lets keep it that way !

sorry mate we had that conversation and there is no reason for any of us to be ashamed about our views...thats not my point....my point is that we have all passed comment one way or the other about the current managers/players and not all of it was positive....after we lost to stansted at home most of the fans were whinging about JL....and thats normal....

 

its a football club for fcks sake and we all have opinions....if I had a quid for every fan that told me that they didn't like the footie we played last season we'd be in the prem and buying rooney....football is about opinions and you know the funny thing about all of this...

 

if we wanted to sack JL we would have....thats what the board do mate...they make decisions and sometimes difficult ones....but the club never sacked JL...he walked out....end of...

 

as for our trust and friendship...well the row we had will personally leave me sad for a long while but I have apologised for my part in that and life goes on....it was a drunken row and that takes two...but that has nothing to do with this....

 

whilst talking of PM's I appreciate your confidentiality.....I always thought that PM's were exactly that...

cant post on the "message from me thread", so will post my response here:

I do believe that all we said was that we were not happy. A forum is a place to express yourself, is it not? A medium in which the public may debate an issue or express opinions. This is purely what we did.

 

We did not intend to slander anyone’s name, but to merely express an opinion: we are not happy. If this was taken to mean that we felt there was something dodgy going on around the unexpected resignation of John Lawrence, then maybe the persons who read our posts and interpreted them in this way have a guilty conscience, or know something the fans do not.

 

To me, reading our thread, all we did was to express that we were not happy jlo had left, as we had wanted him, Paul and Alan to still be in charge of the team next season, as they had done so well this year, and it was evident they all had "hornchurch" engraved on their hearts. As it happens they are not and we wished to show that we were sad (or not happy) about it, if this was read to mean we were angry, then that was up to the readers to decide for themselves.

 

As for me being “included” in this “concert party”, I believe I have has as much right as anybody to voice an opinion, and if you had looked I was first to post the “I’m not happy” post, so it was hardy me being forced to follow suit with others.
