[Margate Football Club]

Margate Football Club can now confirm that Bertie Brayley has left the Club to join Eastleigh. In order to meet the demands of the player the Club was forced to buy out his contract, the terms of which were agreed today so Bertie could become an Eastleigh player in time for their FA Cup match tomorrow.

 

We wish both the player and his new Club the very best of luck.

Shame to see him leave but tbh keeping BB was obviously expensive, and not proving to be worth the effort with his problems he seems to have and take where ever he goes shame such a waste of talent.

 

Lets hope we see a new quality striker come in now, with BB gone that must free up some cash despite the buy out of his contract.

Effectively, i guess as MFC have funded the move, it may mean the funds are not there to find a quality replacement.

 

Never hurts so much when a player goes to a team in a different legue though-they don't come back to haunt you.(maybe next season we all hoe in conf. south)

Seems a slightly odd move though if BB lives in Essex and at start of season he wanted to be 'nearer his family' !!!
