Monday's draw

I think its regionalised so it won't be most of the above.

Alternative 'good' draw could be Wimbledon away, as we would have a 50/50 chance and even if we lost, we would at least get about £5k through the attendance money.

We seem to lose against Essex clubs, and a Kent derby against Dover/Bromley/Welling etc leads to too much hype/pressure and an inevitable let down.

That does not leave to many- so as per GW above-Worthing United at home please

In previous years the FA used to draw the first 3 qualifying rounds at the start of the season.

The 8 or 12 teams (depending on Preminary Rounds) were grouped so you knew who was playing who at each stage until there was just one team left who went up against the Conference sides in the 4th qualifying round

AFC Hornchurch

I want to avoid Bishops Stortford. A very good side and that would be possibly the toughest draw. Fisher and Lewes stand out as toughies as well. Hornchurch and Sudbury are both flying and away ties there would be difficult and obviously would prefer to avoid Bromley. Thats really it for me with the real games I want to avoid.

Ah, my good friends, I see too many really good teams in our section of the draw and several potential banana skins. We are not yet back to playing at our best so a gentle draw would be useful. Maldon or Worthing takes the eye. If not gentle then one we can upset the applecart, such as Farnborough on our patch.

However, standing under a clear Arabian desert sky my squint at the stars suggest a trip to Dover! It could have been worse!

Abdullah the squint!
