spoke to my mate tonight who`s a Rams fan and he said they are starting to tyre quite easy and the best player on the pitch for them was good old Mark Munday . Also said Kola had a good game for Folkstone another we let slip away.

Agree with last sentence-never got a proper extended opportunity under CK (or RT).

 

Though to be fair, he is Ryman standard and not much better.

 

Problem is, RT keeps saying we will only bring in quality defenders, but nothing seems to happen.

 

Still you can't do better than not concede a goal as we did today !!

Rams last few league games have been against struggling teams though F had been improving of late.

Relying on Ramsgate's performances to dip isn't an option - Margate has to do the business on merit.

and most if not all teams round Ramsgate have a game or 2 in hand over Ramsgate and if most of them win those then Ramsgate will drop down to where about we are.

At the end of the season, teams will be about where they should be, based on how they have played over the season, plus a wee bit of luck.

So if any team does well, it will be because they have played well, and deserve to be where they are, and have taken the chances presented to them.

The thing about Ramsgate seems to be they are remarkably consistent..They havent really slipped up to any teams they were expected to beat and have beaten a few they were expected to lose too.
They do have a reasonable chance of making the play offs but cant really see them winning them.
Bromley look odds on for the title and Chelmsford look like they will be right up there. I wouldnt be suprised to see a Thanet derby in the play offs!!!!!.

If it were possible to accept this now then I think a number of the fans would go for it!

 

I still think that if Bromley slip and we become more consistent we can still be in the mix anyway!

Not many Ramsgate fans think we will be in the play-offs, but I am starting to think it is possible.

I think it would be better for Ramsgate Football Club to stay in Rymans Premier for a couple of years rather than go up this season.

 

If you do not go up will that be the end of Margate as we know it?

Probably as we will have to go cap in hand to the Council and beg them to let us merge with Ramsgate.......Oh hang on a minute that was what Ramsgate did 3 times in the 70s and 80s.

Some clubs are like big arab oil tankers, it sometimes takes a while to turn the thing around!

 

There are a lot of people out there who re-appear as if by magic as soon as we look to be successful on the pitch. You just have to find the right set-up!
