Nick Bagley

Reading the other posts-a bit of a mixed reaction here, insofar as 2 bad misses v Leyton and Rams. and a possible attitue issue; but lets look at the wider picture.

It appears he is a striker with ability.

He may have missed a couple, but at least he was in the right position as a striker.

Needs a goal to settle him down from both a scoring and a 'i belong'attitude aspect.

I really wish him well for a quick and full recovery from his injury-is there any update, but if it is ankle ligs.-that is nasty.

Again, the wider picture is that here is probably a striker who could give us back -up to Danny Hockton, and possibly even give DH a bit of competition to keep him on his toes.

Now we are probably back to square one insofar as we have no 'reserve' strikers(Dolton is not a striker and as for Robinson, imo-less said the better). Is Holden still on the scene?

Just hope DH and Pinns. can keep going and that bagley is not as badly injued as suspected.

Up the 'Gate

I think Nick learnt more by his miss against **** on Tuesday than if he had scored. If that had gone in we would all have been praising him and, he would only have tried it again. Now he should realise that you score more goals by doing the simple thing rather than being flash.

Hope you have a speedy and successful recovery Nick and, just for you to cheer you up <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloenurse.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloenurse.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloenurse.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chloenurse.gif" alt="" />

I think you could be right there Joseba. He should have learnt from it anyway.

At Leyton I was praising him for having the foresight & quick thinking to change his mind in an instant.A good asset to go with his undoubted talent. This week he did the quick thinking & decided to use that asset wrongly. The goal was open for him to score but chose to do the "flash" thing when it wasnt nessasary. He SHOULD learn that sometimes the easy way is the way to get on & not by proving his skills in the way that he was trying to do. Had he scored in his way I would still have been questioning his indirect approach to scoring it.To score that goal would have done both him & the team a power of good on the night. He not only let himself down but let his team mates down.He has to learn from it & hopefully he will come out an even better player because of it.Most of all he must realise that those with vastly more experience CAN be a help & that words of encouragement in any form, from players of that category, should be taken on board without him thinking he has all the answers himself.

Jim Ward was there that night & he was overheard to have said "now you know why we didnt keep him". Nick should now pick himself up & prove to Wardie, that he was wrong to move him on.He has his chance here to shine & Trotty has done all he can to give him his opportunity. He should grasp the chances that he is now being given & not abuse it..If indeed his injury is bad then I too wish him a speedy recovery.Am sure he will have learnt from this deep down & come back a bigger player than he is now,a bigger player than he believes he is now.

mm why give robinson stick. He done ok when given a chance but ive know him for years and he's best roll is stricker. not left midfield as we played him. If given the chance up front with DH or JP I still think he can do a job. As for NB attitude stinks.

Good to see that Robin Trott seems to be looking at his job as building the club up for the long term..The more local players and especially (young) we have fighting to get in the first team the better.

Its also great that he has played in the same side as these players as it gives him more idea of just how good they are.

The last i heard it was looking more like a broken ankle than ligament damage. wish him a quick recovery.
