The new Clement Temile thread

There are ways and means around everything if you're dedicated enough to a particular cause, if you were into Haringey Borough like you claim to be then nothing would get in the way, not family, work and least of all Christmas shopping. I guess that's what sorts the men from the boys.

Don't you claim to be "into Haringey Borough"? Don't you let "work" get in the way of watching them?

I know you are banned from home games but nothing to stop you going to Haringey's away games. Being Secretary of Kentish Town is not an excuse either. The main bulk of that role is outside of a matchday and you don't necessarily need to be at the game as there are others around that can complete the teamsheet, which is your only essential matchday duty.

I wouldn't call it putting my obsessions first, surely we are all very much into the beautiful game on here albeit some more than others, do I have to quote Shankly again. What happened to that old School approach from yester year and Jock Stein being carried out of a football ground, think it was Elland Road, in a box, that's the way I want to go.

Let me be the first (of many) offering to arrange that for you!

Thanks (I think) but isn't that your viewpoint too being old school and a football connoseur, don't you want to be carried out of Hertingfordbury Park in a box when your time finally arrives, hopefully not for a long while yet.

Which particular ground would you like to be carried out of, in a box?

Well Claremont Road of course, it goes without saying.

Horace, maybe you can build Rhodes' box using the leftover wood from the dock that your lynch party were supposed to be making last Tuesday?

Would gladly pay for a proper one!

Well, it looks like that £25 isn't leaving your pocket for any other reason!

Rhodes said: Horace - Make it £50, cheque made payable to Kentish Town Football Club, and you have yourself a deal, one week from receipt of the cheque other than for the prediction league. Bet you'll miss me!
This was the quote from the 'Holmer Green' thread where I insisted on £50 being payable and to arrive before I disappear from view so I have it in my hand first. There is currently £35 on the table, £25 from Horace and £10 from NeutralFan so only £15 more needed. I'll PM Horace and NeutralFan with my home address so can send the cheques off and whoever kindly offers the remaining £15, why don't you dig deep.

The whole exchange went like this:

"Horace - You've got me all wrong, I'm not addicted to the Forum in the slightest and can drop it like a brick tomorrow, Manorborn style. I'm surprised so many of you think it's right that In The Know and KTTFC come on here purely to post their predictions, it's no coincidence that they're first and second respectively in the table and I feel that unless they can be bothered to banter with us their records should be expunged forthwith."

I said "Go on then -prove it by staying off here for a week!"
and "Bet you £25 to a Camden charity that you can't!"
You said - "Horace -Make it £50, cheque made payable to Kentish Town Football Club, and you have yourself a deal, one week from receipt of the cheque other than for the prediction league. Bet you'll miss me!"

Neutralfan said "Horace.. I'll give you £10 towards it. As long as it's a Camden 'Charity' and not KTFC it goes to (Same thing I know but hey!)"

I said "It's £25 from me and £10 from NF, but bets are only paid AFTER the event. and you pay too if you lose. you may only post on the prediction league. And KTFC are not a charity (are they?)
Tell us when you are going to start."

Once again Rhodes, you have been selective in your quotes, just like you always are. all this has done is confirm to forum members what a slippery customer you are. I stand by my offer - p*ss off for a week and I'll pay £25 to a registered Camden charity - in that order.

3praise - I think Pardew has been sacked to make way for Curbishley or Sven and there will be no advertising process, if however there is then a letter will soon be winging its way to Upton Park from Clement enclosing his impressive CV which is as long as your arm. A copy would then at least sit on the great one's personal file for future reference when he eventually does go for the Nigeria National Coach job and eyebrows will no doubt be raised in the corridors of power at the Nigerian FA.
