Just spoke to Whitstable and they are looking forward to it. They think the weather might put of a few of the team turning up , need to know whether the game is on or not to save them travelling down

The game is still on as far as we're concerned. Hope Whitstable are ok with it and I hope Cookie is still happy to ref. Rain is supposed to have cleared by midday and the winds are already easing. I'm happy to play no matter what.

I'll be there if thats the case. Just a note of warning its not the weather that decides things in games being played its the underfoot conditions. Just telling you from a referees viewpoint. Be careful not to play if its dangerous.Remember also that this pitch belongs to the council & they wont be too pleased if its ruined when unplayable. Am not trying to get out of officiating but these are factors you have to take into account before deciding to go ahead.If you all still want to play,even if conditions are poor,I will still turn up(have refereed in much worse weather than this)but be aware of any consequences that COULD arise out of this..I know you are all desperate to play this game but safety issues have to be taken into account first & foremost.

Unless told different I shall be there.Good luck to both sets of players.Try & enjoy the game.
