Lee Turner has re-signed with club for the 2003/04 season.

Lee made over 150 appearances for the Fleet in his previous spell, and I am sure that we all welcome him back.

Top signing. Just what we needed. Lee has always been one of the most reliable keepers in Kentish football. That will take some of the pressure off Wilks needing to keep fit, but it will add pressure on him to stay in form.
Come on Benno and Duke, the jigsaw is nearly completed. You two, one more in midfield + a top striker to complete the full first team. Then a couple more squad players, one centre half, one midfield and one striker - voila .

Andy is right to be patient. He mustn't be held to ransome by moneygrabbers.

Listenening to Talk Sport on my way to work this morning, it is expected that about 200 players from Div's 2 & 3 will be out of work in July and looking for teams - even on greatly reduced wages.
Then will be the time to pick up some quality bargains, since the top Conference sides will by then have completed full time squads, and presumably even the wealthiest won't be able to afford extra players.

I wouldn't have thought so matt. From memory Lee was in his late 20's when we played Villa in 1997. That would make him about 35, though I stand to be corrected. He will carry with him a lot of experience, and since he hasn't been overplayed at Margit, should be still very fit.
Who knows, Jacko may come back home next year !!!

Lee is a great signing for the club. Are there any names in the frame to partner Liam up front?

I see that East End boy Leo Fortune West has been released by Cardiff, or is he too much in the Liam Hatch mould?

He would be perfect for us but i cant see him dropping into the Conference. Think he was leading scorer for Cardiff when they came up fron Division 3... Ill pledge 500 quid if we sign him !!!!!

Good news about Lee - his past performances for the club were always of a high class. He seems an ideal player for us to have as a reserve keeper, very much like Adrian Blake was - vastly experienced and quite old yet clearly a capable goalkeeper.

Ah my cousin's missus was right, welcome back Lee, now how about Lee Spiller coming back, perhaps even Corrie Campbell both good players.

Apparently, Maidstone are showing some interest in Mark Munday. Is he too old for us to have as a backup squad player ??

Shame, would have been a useful aquisition. Very experienced, knows the club and wouldn't have broken the bank.
However I think it's a good thing for Kentish football that the Stones have finally arisen from the ashes that were of Jim Thompson's making !! I'll soon have another team to hate !!
