Tooting & Mitcham v Enfield Town

Do any of our historians/statisticians have any idea of when our clubs (as EFC) last met?  I guess it was in the season before EFC left the Isthmian League for pastures new in the APL.

I hope tomorrow's match will be a cracker and fully expect the massed hoards of the Sussex Towners will be in attendance.

Bit of a mystery as to who actually scored for Town. On the Bostik League Live Scores site the scorer is as confirmed, but on the ETFCOfficial update the headed goal is credited to Rob Bartley, who according to the team sheet is not shown in the starting line-up today, or on the bench. Very strange!

Full Time:   Tooting & Mitcham  0-4  Enfield Town

What an excellent away win for The Town today. Very well done to Andy, our players, and all you Towners who cheered the lads on this afternoon.

Sets us up very nicely for our home match with Harlow on Bank Holiday Monday. See you there!

As the second Sussex Towner, I was extremely happy with my trip to T&M this afternoon.  Great company, great result and great facilities at the new (to me) ground.

This was my first chance to see our new team.  I thought our build-up, particularly  on the left side, in the first half was impressive.   Shame we didn't convert more of those chances in the box.  I thought that we didn't really exploit the sending off.  Our distribution was poor and it looked as though T&M had  added players instead of loosing one!

Let's hope for some more results like today's in the coming weeks.

Sure everyone will want to congratulate Mickey Parcell on his 100th appearance for The Town yesterday. Well done Mickey, here's to many more!

Pleased to read in Ken Brazier's match report on the ETFC official website that it was indeed Rob Bartley (not "Rob Hylton-Barry" shown as our No.4 on the T&M team sheet) who scored our first goal. Well done Rob!

With plenty more lovely sunshine forecast forecast for tomorrow, let's hope we see a big turn-out at the QE Stadium for the Harlow match, when we look to chalk up our first home win of the season, and back-to-back wins over the Bank Holiday weekend. Good luck guys!

I think Mickey is counting friendlies in his tweet. Last week's programme had him on 92 which by my arithmetic now puts him on 94.

Didn't realise he had notched up that many games.Would be interesting to know how many of those he played the full 90 minutes in? Hopefully he will play many more games for us in the future as well.
