Hi all. Ive been asked as I am a member of the Sports Interactive Website if I can research the club for their future game, Football Manager 5(I know this should be in that forum but i thought it would get a better response here). Basically what they want me to do is research Canvey in depth giving squad, club details(ie pitch size) and rivals. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help as I have a list of the First team squad which I will post but I need to know the reserve and youth team sides. Apparently this is all completely alright and doesn't break any laws so would anyone be willing to help?

Would definitely be willing to help you but my knowledge of the reserve and youth teams is patchy to say the least.

Why don't you just go onto the club's new official website. I'm told (by the people who created it) that it will always be bang up to date with all kinds of information and news. If you don't find all you need there, I'm sure an email to the webmasters will bring you a swift response that will be full of news, detail and club trivia.

Yeah Youth Team would be helpful, if its not too much, I found the first team on the official website so Ill use that. Cheers Guys!

Also I found some other players that I am not sure if they still play for the club or not so perhaps you could help

Bertie Brayley
Gary Britnell
Simon Betts

This is due to me not finding any info about them being released on the official site. Thanks again

Sports Interactive used to help Eidos make the Championship Manager Football Game that was the best selling in its area. I was recommended to join their forums at the SI Community so I did and it asked for which club I supported so I put Canvey. I thought nothing of it and then I got an email out the blue saying they had looked at my profile and saw I supported a club in need of a researcher and asked if I would be willing to research the club things such as Pitch Size etc. So I agreed and THe things Im not too sure on I thought Id ask the majority. I wasn't asked because Im the biggest fan just because I must be one of the only people on that forum who support Canvey.

In regard to the Youth Team, I know their all quite young but have we any players who play regularly, Thanks

Yeah Uncle_bens, are there any that have appeared regularly throughout the season?

Another Question, Club Nicknames, obviously The Gulls but do we have any others, I thought of Yellows/Yellow army but do you think thats right?

Also, our main rivals, Southend obviously, Billericay and Im not too sure of the third, should it be Hornchurch or Thurrock or any other?
Any responses Greatly appreciated

I would say Billericay and Southend as definitely the top two after that Grays and from next season we will resume old rivalries with Gravesend.

Think there could be a bit of rivalry between Daggers as they're just down the road.

Be sure when you give Sports Interactive the info you get all the players positions correct. I'm fed up starting CM4 and having Gavin Cowan as an Attacking Midfielder. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
