Burton Albion -Vs- Canvey Island

It was a blatant elbow in lee's face which caused him to spit blood. how the ref or lino didnt see it is beyond me.

Wasnt a brilliant game but i felt we stuck to our task and battled well. when we went 1 down i couldnt see us getting back into it but theo done well to get his inch perfect cross to the back post, good header back across by junior and that so called "fancy dan" was there to put the ball in the back of the net.

well done lads keep it up

P.S there new ground does look like its going to be somthing special.

Ummmmmm - Friday night football.

Many, many moons ago I used to watch a certain club up the road play home games on a firday night.

In them days there was a lot of arguements as to whether gates would be better if played on a Saturday etc.

If Jeff is trying to attract more fans to the Lane by avoiding the odd Saturday kick off then I'm not so sure - we may gain a few fans that are unable to attend the weekend but we would also lose a few away supporters from the bigger clubs. Noy sure if we would make a big enough gain to offset the loss.........

However, there is something about playing on a Friday night

We played Bishop's Stortford on a Friday night last year to avoid the notorious last Saturday before Xmas but didn't get a great crowd.

I quite like Friday nights for football but it means having nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon.

how comes no one is talking about the shocking decision not to play noto. left out for the last two games and weve had stinkers. the kid looks like the only bit of quality at the club, picked at a mom in one of his first games then benched. they are having a laugh

If the travellers in Grays have a match as well - blimey it would be anarchy on the streets of Essex with looting and everything. If the snobs in north Essex have a jolly up day and disobey the law and rip the odd fox up - how will the police cope. Do they contain the football hooligans of Essex or chase after the red coat brigade?

MARTIAL LAW!! - its the only way for the football supporters of Essex......

dear mr anonymous just to let you know that your comments regarding our mr boylan is as pathetic as you, as he sustained a dislocated jaw & severe whiplash to his neck along with the deep long cut inside his mouth, i am sure you wish him well ?

but perhaps you should engage brain before opening mouth. This comment puts you in the same catagory as the other idiot who commented after he recieved a broken ankle against Stevenage. I also take this opportunity to state that the officials must sooner or later be more competant as it cannot belong before someone recieves a serious injury ie broken back or something as some of the tackles? that we see lately beggar belief & offending players are allowed to get away with it- as per chinners rediculous tackle.

If officials are reading this please note you are not beyond legal action for damages in the case of negligence as you hold the responsibilty to uphold the games laws for both sides not just the one you have a preference to;

Can't see how they could comment - Burton fans were nowhere near the incident.

Lee eventually played on and stuck one in the back of the net for good measure.

Also heard on their local radio commentator having a dig at Lee and his injury in his round up of the game on my way home.

Again can't see how he could comment as Lee had his back to everyone except the Canvey fans. Referee and linesman were W***rs and that was summed up nicely by the Canvey fans in the ground.

just to let you know that our mr boylan had a dislocated jaw with severe whiplash to spine along with a large cut inside his mouth - not bad for a fancy dan, but i am sure you wish him well & that he will accept your appology ? yet again we have to indulge total crap from away supporters that talk out of their ----. This is another person that needs to engage brain before opening mouth as like the stevenage supporter & OUR local radio commentator when he had his ankle broken at stevenage.

I believe it is about time the officials actually took their responsibilities seriously as the way it is going it won't be long before a career or maybe even life threatening incident is going to happen, some of the tackles being allowed to go on unpunished ie Chinners for example are rediculous & need stopping now, i would also like to point out that if this did happen the injured person CAN pursue the matters in court for engligence, then perhaps they might get their act together.
