YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

Recommended Posts

Over the course of June we have been asking supporters to lend a hand in order to get Park Lane ready for the new season.

The response so far has been good, and we would like to thank everybody who has helped so far.

However, if we are to be completely ready for our first friendly v Southend, we do need more fans to spare some of their time and get involved. There are plenty of jobs that need to be accomplished, some light and easy, others that will require a bit more effort. The days that we would like to get the bulk of the work done on are Saturday 16th June & Saturday 23rd June.

Whether it's painting or plant removal you fancy, or helping to get the playing surface ready and getting the goals up, your attendance would be Extremely Appreciated.

The ground will be open from 9am onwards, and we look forward to seeing as many Canvey fans as possible who would like to get involved in their club.

Thanks

I don't know what Alan's secret is, but it certainly works! From speaking to him and his team of assistants, they are certainly determined the make the pitch as impressive as possible for when them Shrimpers come to town!

Well done to Alan and all the boys who helped out yesterday. Pitch looks superb and will be in excellent condition for when Southend roll into town next month.

Welldone to all those who have worked so hard on the pitch. applause2

And thanks to all those of you who have been working hard on the rest of the ground. Feel really guilty that we couldn't have come along to help, but have both had to work Saturday mornings frown

A really big thanks to you all applause

Remember, we still need as many people as possible this Saturday before the FA come back for their inspection. We had 20+ there last Saturday, but we will need 30+ this week to get all jobs completed.

Think not what your club can do for you, but what you can do for your club!!!

I'll try and come down for a couple of hours although DIY isn't my strong point!!!

You don't need to be a DIY specialist (good job as well, cos I'm awful!)

Whatever your abilities, jobs can be found for you to help out with. It's at this relatively quiet stage of the season when we really do need to spread the word and get as many fans down there as possible.
