I can confirm that 'the great' Kenny Dyer will be at Leyton FC on Sunday morning for the London FA Cup Final, I will probably accompany him so I'll look out for you, perhaps we can finally bury the hatchet

Yes but there's no comparison is there, the KOPA League is very much 'Hackney Marshes' compared to the SSML, look how they pridelessly go down on bended knee to 'us' in order to get Coles Park for their Cup Finals which isn't exactly Wembley is it!

How can you compare a League at Step 5 in the Pyramid with a Sunday League?

The KOPA League is one of the most respected Sunday Leagues in London. The standard of the Clubs, especially in Division 1, is very high (New Salamis in County Cup Final this Sunday).

Our Representative Team is again in the Final of the London Inter-League Cup.

As to our Cup Finals being staged at Haringey Borough this season, the KOPA Committee decided to localise them this season rather then go back to Cheshunt or Broxbourne Borough.

That's your opinion but I bet every team in Division 1 of the SSML can beat a KOPA League side any day of the week and that includes Cranfield United and Winslow United

I would take you up on your offer but I can't be bothered waiting months like other forum members to get paid. smile

'The great' Kenny Dyer didn't disagree with me earlier when I ran it by him although to be fair he was half asleep on the sofa. The Board seems to have been playing up again otherwise I would have been on earlier tonight, Kenny said to say hi and that he hopes to see you on Sunday.

By the way I'm not disputing the KOPA League is a good standard but players don't adapt themselves properly, it's more about showing off to their friends and girlfriends in the crowd with silly tricks and flashy moves which would simply get quashed in the bread and butter SSML Division 1.

And how many KOPA games have you seen to form this opinion?

I lost count of the KOPA League finals I used to attend at Coles Park as it was always a good afternoon/evening out, the atmosphere was lively and the crowds were far bigger than at Haringey Borough matches. That is where I formed my opinion of the KOPA League which the players don't appear to take as seriously as they should be doing, it's all flashy skills and playing to the gallery which you don't get in the far more professionally run SSML. Also the majority of players always have their eye on getting involved in a punch up at the first opportunity as it's in their volatile nature, I think in every KOPA League game I've seen there has been a mass brawl.
