runners up in 2004??

todays result means that we will probably be runners up again next year.no i dont mean the canvey result,im referring to wivenhoe 1 hornchurch 6,the urchins now need just 3 points from 3 games for promotion.for the last 3 seasons canvey have been the biggest spenders in the ryman premier, that wont be the case next season.hornchurch have spend £2 million this season, thats not gossip, its not hearsay, believe me its a fact.if you go to a hornchurch home match you will be met by one of their moneymen outside the turnstiles,if you have a young kid they give them a replica kit for free, they often wave new supporters through the turnstiles for nothing and go round at half time giving out freebie scarfs, hats etc.every home game they play is extensively advertised on the national radio station talk sport. they have 11 full time members of staff at the moment including a full time goalkeeping coach in dmirti kharine, and forward steve jones,ex west ham.so watch out the urchins are coming.

I'd like to meet Dimitri Kharine actually, being a distant follower of the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Does he still have to wear track-suit bottoms when he plays cause of his knee injury?

We'll soon see what's to expect of them when we go there in a fortnight, albiet against totally different opposition.

I think next season I'll pretend to be a Hornchurch fan and get in for free! Looking forward to playing Hornchurch next season. It's easy to get to by train and I can see them having really good crowds in the Ryman Prem. Maybe they'll be our new rivals!!

acctually this means youre more likely to win the league as havent you learnt big spenders come second they are coming second in ryman 1 north why because big spenders come second surely now you know that

i mean as monday showed you cant over paid football league level players to play with passion and commitment in essex derbys then were can you get plarers to play with passion and commitment

So Cum on Ricay tell us, how much are our over-paid ex-football League players on? I'd like to see your estimate of our weekly wage bill.

Some sad old Codger at Harrow reckons at least half of our squad are on at least £600 a week. That would probably take our wage bill into at least £30,000 a week.

The truth is you don't know! It's between the Manager and the Player what the contract stands at. But I know Phil Whelan was rejected a contract cause he was asking for too much money, how much must he be on at Southend when they are skint?

Some of our players have other jobs too, so they wouldn't mind playing for £50 a week. The pros like Boylan & JK would average higher as they possibly have no other personal income. No-one knows what our players are on, except them themselves so speculate all you want!!

It's still Easter holidays pabird, we've got another week of him!!

Another thing Mst. Ricay you may fail to realise that half of our squad are educated lecturers and teachers. Now having a few teachers in my family I know what kind of money they make depending on their position at the school/College and what standard of education the attempt to teach little sh*ts like yourself.

Believe me half of our players could play for free, if they were Tutors, as some of them would make in a week double your pocket money in a year!!

Don’t want to cause an argument here but you would be surprised Matt what our players may be on.

As a very rough guesstimate for all the first team players, I’ve heard also that players are on around £500 a week, even the fringe players. Probable weekly wage bill for players must be around £10, 000. The shortfall from gate receipts is being “funded”.

I reckon the £50 a week you mention were from the vase days 10 years ago.

As Matt said, all these figures are pure guesswork, no-one knows except the players and officials of the club.

Each time you speak to another team's supporter the figures get higher and higher.

I think that jealousy plays a big part in the exaggerations.

It is not money that makes a team good, it is skill, loyalty and commitment.

In a moment of faith over logic are you able to consider that you may only have shown up well on Monday by under payment to your grounds staff

Any reasonable degree of care in watering the playing surface would have seen your team played off the park and unable to create such chaos with the high long booted clearance

Your teams honest so well motivated result fades into the background when represented by pondlife

And as a gentle aside you (cum on ricay) always claim Billericay residence, I think not

well from what i hear youre top earners are on 750 a week

face it thats a bit over the top for this level

ahh well better thna hornchurch paying players a couple of grand a week albeit with some coaching thrown in

i know how much teachers are on for a head of department at a secondary school youre looking at 26k a year going up with experince and with £15 per hour for tutiuon you can make enough to play for canvey for nought

but hey offer them that they will leave as they are all a bunch of money grabers why did you think you are able to hang on to football league quality players as canvey and their jobs as teachers make them enough to keep them at park lane

looks like youre attempts to buy succes will be out down next season

who won the vase i think we did 3 times

cum-on having been force fed your postings for some time now I am 100% assured you do not have a friends that have the ability to move far from the pondside and certainly not knowledge of the personal details of players beyond Sunday in the park (after dark) sort of kick-a-bouts

Go on prove me wrong tell me the salary of one basilricay player?
