Ebbsfleet United's Under 18 side take on East Grinstead Town, the Wasps, in the FA Youth Cup at 7.30 pm on Thursday, September 25, at Stonebridge Road.

 

In the last round the Fleet youngsters, under the stewardship of Paul McCarthy and Ian Docker, swept aside Redhill 14-0 to set up the clash with East Grinstead next week.

 

The Fleet's youth system has already produced Luke Moore, the senior side's leading scorer this season who has also just scored his first international goal for England C in Bosnia, as well as Kwesi Appiah, another member of the first-team squad. This time last year John Akinde was a member of the youth team before stepping up to make a huge impact in the Blue Square Premier which led to a

Are your Youth teams now known as Ebbsfleet or are they still Gravesend and Northfleet?

 

My young Angels beat Mile Oak 1-5 tonight. If you win on Thursday and we win ours v Rye next week we well meet again.

 

Our previous encounters in the Kent league were always a hearty and sometimes controversial affair, so i hope our paths will cross and we'll see some good football.

The Tonbridge game is due to be played in week commencing 6 October & the winners will play Bromley or Lewes at home in the 3rd and final qualifying round.
