Well I think we can say with some justification we were a little unlucky today - their goal was very fortunate, whilst their keeper played a blinder.

I also think, however, that we need to start making our own luck - we had plenty of attacking options on the pitch but (again) we look a little goal-shy. I don't know whether we need a change in personnel or tactics, but I don't think we can keep doing what isn't producing the goods. 13 goals from 11 games isn't good enough when you consider the attacking options we've had on the pitch.

If it wasnt for our keep having a wonder game, then i think you could have easily one that by 2 or 3. You were on top of us for most of the game and bombared the area with crosses and corners but it seems you were unable to convert those chances into goals. Those are the kind of games that were going against us earlier in the season so its nice to finally be on the winning end of one of them. Your a good side who play good football and have a decent ground so good luck to you for the rest of the season as im sure you'll be there or there abouts come spring.

I agree with most of the above. We dominated for long spells and their keeper made some great stops. Knocked the ball around really well.

But we do need to start taking more of the chances created, obviously converting the penalty just before half time would have helped. I think there is a bit of confidence lacking up front but fingers crossed it'll come.

The first half was very exciting good end to end football played in good spirit. The referee was an absolute prat one of the worst for a long time. Never a free kick that Dartford scored from and Billy's booking was crazy, if he hadn't jumped into the air he would have had has ankles kicked. We should have gone in ahead, fantastic saves by Dartford keeper and clearly we are lacking confidence at penalties !!

In my view we were very poor in the second half, I don't think we would have scored if we had played for another hour. I think there were a few senior players out there today not pulling their weight and I came away from the game feeling pretty fed up.

Many thanks to the Dartford supporters who were great and made our gate 350 higher than it would have been.

We need to get our season back on track and we are badly in need of somebody creative in central midfield because the long ball "hoof" just isn;t working.

You have missed a major mistake from the ref today and that was when shave came on and their number 4 held him down trying to rape him and the ref gave a drop ball. When will we get some decent officials? Erm... are there any?

Bit of half time entertainment with Worster shooting, Shave "TRYING" to do skills with Chattin in goal was absoulutely hilarious good job us lot in the corner of that stand had good reactions haha!

The answer to your questions about decent officials is no, upda. I dont think there are any good refs in this league, they were bad enough last season.. but they seem to have got worse this season. But you never know, maybe one day we will come along a decent ref.

A desperately disppointing result in a game we could and should have won.

As has been said their goal was a lucky deflection from a non-free kick, but even so we had more than enough chances to win the game including what looked like a bit of a non-penalty.

I thought we played reasonably well in both halves myself but of course that doesn't win you any prizes.

I agree with a couple of the posters above that we need to change things around a little bit, we're not far away, but just something to mix it up a bit.

Dartford brought loads and they were a good bunch spending a few bob in the bar and helped create a good atmosphere in the ground today - I'm looking forward to the return game - hopefully we'll be able to thieve the result back then! I did think the home turn-out was a bit better than in recent games too.

Enjoyed the game - Didn't enjoy the result.

i thougth we had alot of chances to wrap the game up with there keeper making at least 4or5 very good saves. I felt that when dartford had the ball they could run through and past are players at will. There wasnt 1 strong tackle made in the midfield which allowed them to dominate when they had the ball. I would like to see dormer and shaves in the middle together who agrees?

i think ashley and heffers having solid performances, but again i think duncan didnt look good and still not convinced, heffers and ashley covering him alot which people dont seem to notice, saying that the last 10mins he made two very good challenges.

I would like to see cleary play alongside heffers/cole thinking back when he played with both of them in pre season the deffence looked very solid with cole/heffer experience to help and cleary pace no nonsence defending.

Things will get better as its a long way to go obviously sooner rather than later but i am confident in getting at least play offs we have the right players and management to do so.

I would like to see soleman play more aswell any 1 agree?

What happened to neil marron?

It was nice to get Dormer Back, although not match fit yet he makes such a difference, we played good football yesterday, lots of width with plenty of passing and possession.

Although we didn't' win, we were much improved, yesterday was just one of those games where we didn't get the rub of the green, we had by far the better of the chances, but no deflections, and and we were up against in form keeper.

Ok we gained no points, but It was all very encouraging.

Well done lads, more of the same please, if we keep doing it right then I'm sure the goals will come.

The Dartford supporters were a great bunch, lots of characters of all ages, and they spent a few quid in the bar as well, drinkies good luck chaps, I'm looking forward to the return leg

I thought it was a good all round game for us but once again we did not have that last touch, (of Luck)

Why the early Sub?

I noticed Paul Shave played all but the first 2 mins of the game with his arm held out of harms way, was that a result of the number 4 trying to make love to him? Fair play to paul he still went into tackles (maybe not as hard) regardless of the dodgy arm.

Great turn out yesterday from both sides I'm sure the posters we put up and the stall will have played a small part.

My man of the game yesterday was songster KEITH P Welcome back fella, T,was great to have the gang back on song.

I agree with JL, Enjoyed the game - Didn't enjoy the result.

Cole has done something to his hamstring...not sure how bad it is, but obviously not what was required and I think Shavesey has done his shoulder ligaments?

Note to self: Get medical bulletin before embarking on lager frenzy.

Lets face it...all the ref's we have met this season have been bloody awful and it cuts both ways for all the teams in the league.

We didn't take our chances and that is a fact. But you get games like that. We're improving and with a week off, the players can freshen themselves up and be ready for next Tuesday's game.

Which brings me to this Saturday. Have we a friendly set up?

Well not that I'm aware of anyway.

I just see it as some people coupling their comments about the game and the ref into the same post.
TBH I didn't think the ref was worthy of comment, unlike the one who officiated at Sutton, he was the best we've had this season I thought.
