Big Thanks to those who travelled over to Wallingford last night..

What a fantastic set up the eam of wallingford have over there..puts Slough into shame...

3 floodlit all weather courts - three rugby pitches ..one under floodlights - indorr tennis courts - indoor squash courts -

wallingfords own enclosed ground with stands changing rooms and fully enclosed ground...plus a full size cricket pitch ..all centered around a sports bar complex with function room and a skittle alley ...

thebar complex earns the revenue and all the rents/expenses are paid from this central kitty to keep wach section up and running.

a real eye opener ..to see what our town is missing...

cheers chris

well done to the under 18's for playing 2 matchs ..in quick succesion...

through to the quater finals of the B & Bcup, now with a home draw...date and team TBA

That may be true Chris, but from what I heard the sports centre stitched up the AFC Walligford senior football team, which is why they dropped from Hellenic to North Berks. Rugby got the floodlights not the football.

Juniors are realy showing the 1st team how to do it!

More of the Juniors should be played in the 1st team as Sonny has proven and the Juniors set up may also hold the replacement for Sweetman.

Tony Thompson is far more vocal and motivational then Derek "seconds" Sweetman.

By the way is Sweetman not trusted to talk to the press any more? as Calvin Maye was tasked with making the excuses before the game in the express this week!

Sonny was the 'stand out' player from the under 18s. IMO, given time, some of the other under 18s might be 1st team material.

I've watched and heard Tony Thompson and again IMO I'm not convinced he would be a good 1st team manager.

Ideally the club needs a reserve team in order for them to progress a bit further and make the step between U18 and 1stXI smaller.

Otherwise the club is going to be producing young players not quite good enough for the first team but too old to play in the U18 squad.

That's 6 straight wins for the youth team now, with a massive gap of two and a half months in between without a game. I plan on coming to the game on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how they've progressed since I last saw them and whether any can play a part in the remainder of the senior squad's season.

The Berks & Bucks FA website says we have a home draw against Widmer End United to be played on Sunday March 1st.
