Know just how you feel cynic !

Youngest daughter drove into or local town a few weeks ago, and had to stop because of road-works and temporary traffic lights. There was one car in front of her before the lights.

Daughter allowed a good fifteen feet between herself and the car in front. Dust cart comes through the lights from the opposite direction.

What does the silly cow in front do ???

Reverses hard to allow more room for the cart, WITHOUT looking in her mirror or over her shoulder. Daughter glances in her mirror, but cannot reverse also, 'cos a car has stopped right behind her.

Nett result ! Half a Grands worth of damage to daughters car, and NOW she's battling to get any form of compensation !

Probably comes from a broken home, Cynic. Socially deprived. Possibly an asylum seeker. Be kind.

Talking of which. I mean't to say.

A couple of weeks ago there was 'trouble' in Wrexham between local folk and a group of Iraqi Kurds over a week-end. Riot police involved etc. According to the T.V. News, these Iraqi Kurds were originally 'asylum seekers' but now that The Duo's war is over [in a manner of speaking] these people are now re-classed as 'refugees'.

Excuse me? Correct me if I am wrong but didn't 'we' win the war? Freedom from oppresion. Liberation of the Iraqi people from the yoke of the tyrant, Saddam Hussein. Prevented the despot from using his Weapons of Mass Destraction. etc. etc.

I don't know anything about these things but surely when 'we' did the pull down the statue thing, shouldn't these people have rushed to Cardiff airport to catch the first plane back to their Homeland? No reason for asylum surely, their lot were on 'our' side in the North of Iraq.

Makes sure the docs confirms whiplash injury.

That should be good for a couple of grand. Only problem - It takes bl**dy months to get a settlement !

Cynic you can easily sue them for whiplash, ask your insurer. Even if you are a third party your insurer can still recomend a company to make an uninsured loss recovery.

I usually deal with a lot of stupid driver's in my work and yes it's a lot of work when it's not even your fault.

I had a classic when I was looking for my new motor some idiot in a Mercedes reversed in to my old car and you learn quickly that the whole repair and claim process is just a load of sh1t you don't need.

Bollox to all this compensation culture - I hate it.

Accidents happen, they have been happening for years. People should get the damage paid for and any loss of earnings by the insurance and that's it.

I hate Claims Direct and all them other monkeys - "I was cycling around the roundabout and fell off my bike" Tough sh*t checj your tyres. "I was carrying some hot tar and I tripped" Well tie your shoelaces you tos*er!

ERR I think what I was referring to originally, was that the [******] would sue me for stopping appropriately, therefore causing him great mental anguish! I agree if you are stupid enough to injure yourself or be personally liable you should get nothing. The compensation culture I dont like is for example. " I never knew I would have to shoot someone and that they were allowed to shoot back" etc.

My case the [******] hit me, he is liable for any outcome.

Compensation culture is a huge problem EFMTV, the problem is that if you are properly injured then it's a lot more difficult to make a claim.

Believe it or not I've handled claims for shock, trauma and a heart murmur, all of them false. The problem is not only that the claims are false, they can be anything up to 3 years after the event. It is totally wrong and everyone pays for it on their car insurance. A rear shunt used to be around £500-£1000 now most insurance companies will allow about £5000.

The other problem is that Whiplash cannot be proven, as long as the impact was over 5mph then it can be considered a valid claim.
