I do get your drift, though, Matt. Welling have gone for Paul Parker, a high profile ex Premier player. I'm sure there are plenty of quality recently retired Div 1 or Premier players wanting to start out on a Managerial career. Martin O'Neill hasn't done too badly. He started with Wycombe when they were a Conference side.

If Andy does leave, any new Manager would have a backroom team to die for (Hillyard, Handford and Pennock).

As has been said, high profile players do attract media interest, which in turn attracts sponsership and additional revenue.

Whatever does happen, I think the board do need to act now before our position becomes hopeless.
