Players Wages

1. The Margate Board, in recent statements, have made much of the fact that they "pay above average wages" to the players

 

2. Most people accept that all players are mercenary and will go where the money is.

 

3. If 1 &2 are correct then why does Margate have such a small squad and also no A/Manager or Coach for most ot the season.

Location, location, location plays a large part in this and always will do for margate FC

And to correct the statement, we have been saying that the club has a "competitive budget".

 

A budget - for widgets or people - can be allocoated to fewer more expensive, or more cheaper alternatives.

 

And I'm not sure a lot of players would agree with the mercinary tag. There are a lot of reasons why a player would want to work with a club; and money is only one.

None of my buisness what a player does or does not get paid (just as it none of your buisness how much I earn).

 

However, I have always said there are only 3 reasons to do a job (in no paticular order).

 

1) What you get paid

 

2) Who you work with

 

3) the job you do.

 

3 out of 3 ideal job do not move.

2 out of 3 Good job and probally happy

1 out of 3 Should look around for something else.

0 out of 3 What are you doing there.
