Ressies

Recommended Posts

Vs Wingegate and FinchLie

The ressies went down by one goal to nil last night. They were the better team for large periods of the game with Jack Mullan and Mark Bitmead getting a good workout.

The ref was pathetic. A two footed, studs first leap into the chest of Tyler Tobin as he came out to smother the ball, was greeted with a yellow card. There was about 3 or 4 minutes treatment on the studmarks and 4 (i think) substitutions in the second half, but this added up to just 1.28 seconds of injury time on the "refs" watch. P!55 poor.

What's this Caopitalk League mentioned in the heading of the website report? By the sound of the refs, it should be changed to Crapital League. While I'm at it, was this the same opposition who caused us no amount of grief and a potential fine in respect of a fixture problem earlier this season? Best to change leagues next season and leave those a===holes behind.

I feel I should make it clear that the match was played in a good spirit last night. The challenge on our keeper was wild but it was isolated. The people from Wingate & Finchley were fine. Yes we are sorting out a problem from earlier in the season but we don't want bad relations with any of our opponents.

The refereeing though in this league, not always to be fair, but all too often can only be described as quaint (if you're looking to use the nicest possible word about it).
