Have none of you trainee londoners got any better reply than f*** off and shut up retard? Top money buys top players. Pity you are not top supporters.

I'd rather be a trainee Londoner than a trainee Lutoner - excpet maybe the curry's cheaper up there. But due to the reduced quality on the field today then yes those are the best responses you'll probably get. But don't flatter yourself, why should you expect anything more ???????
I thought you played very well today and clearly are the Ryman in-form side at the moment, probably even worth the win. Our management didn't pay you guys enough repsect and fielded a significantely weaker side - much to our regret. I just hope Bedford aren't the side that stopped Canvey going up - although on todays performance I think it is only Canvey that stopped Canvey going up.
Nice coats by the way Bedford fans - truely stylish. Perhaps St Albans fur coat man might like one in their colours (ooopps, our colours).

What's a lutoner? You had a weakened side? What? Boylan on the subs bench? Got rattled did you? It's unfortunate for us, I know, but Bedford will be visiting Canvey in the Ryman Premier Division next season as well.

It was a weakend side. No Ashley, Buzz or Parms and Boylan & Knight were on the bench with Cobb in the starting line-up.
Lets be honest is there anybody who thought Cobb was any good yesterday?
I find that rather poor tactics by our managment team.
Where was Buzz?

What's wrong with Parms?

Why was Boylan on the bench?

Why was Knight on the bench?

Why was Ash 'dropped'?

(I heard his kicking was poor Tuesday, but he would have saved at least two of their goals yesterday.)
Lots of questions, but it would be hard to find an answer to any of them.
Pumpkin

Pumpkin I see Ash in the stands yesterday and he could hardly walk on the ball of his foot so assuming he was out through injury.

I think there is a question mark over Bodders fitness, I feel 2 goals yesterday were down to bodders not recting quickly enough and being well beaten by Bedfords forwards, which did not look to be the fasted in the league by a long chalk.

Canvey seem to fall asleep at times and each time paid the price. Cant blame the conditions either as it was as bad for both sides.

I do hope the league is settled before the end of the season. Our last match is against G+N and I,ve never had to cheer our opponents to victory before!! Still after your fans? behaviour yesterday, I might have to.
Still never mind you'll soon be playing the likes of Bowers and Basildon again ( in say 5 years when the money runs out ha! ha! ha!)

Ok I won't go to sleep just yet! but Come on anyone would think you have just won the FA cup or something. Christ what would you have been like if you had actually won the game? Street parties?

Maybe if we do stay in this league for another year we should take great joy in giving Bedford a good old fashion, thrashing!

Good luck Bedford you will need it..

Just to let you know that EFM will be attending the Gravesend v Canvey game to cheer on our brothers from Kent.
And for your infoamtion Canvey St.Albans have been wearing "your" colours for nearly 100 years and even a decade ago when you were in the essex Senior leauge and we played proper "big" clubs like Woking and Yeovil, teams with history, crowds, regular FA cup giantkilling acts and trophy pedigree.
Unlike yourselves of course. 1 trophey win, playing crap confence sides on the way (Telford, out of sorts Stevenage, crisis club Chester) see what happens when you meet a good club (yeovil). FA Cup, 2 good runs (relegation threatned Port vale and northampton, Wigan granted was a good result but lets not forget your failure against Southend, a club then knocked out by another club in this division Kingstonian, a club who have more tradition then you and a bigger club) and bacially two leauge seasons which ended in runners up positions someting Enfield did loads of times in the 90's and you've never played in the top level of non-leauge football.
Basically what I'm saying is we have another episode of Canvey arregence based on 2 good seasons which may well of been achieved by a number of clubs in this division of they had the luck of the draw.
The following clubs are bigger than Canvey in our division - Enfield, Kingstonian, Sutton, Gravesend with Chesham, St.Albans, Hendon and Bedford on a par!

And before you start with the what have you done in the last couple of years, we've beaten all these teams, you gain reconisation from history and continued sucess something you lot are well short of (lets not start on crowds). Blackburn Rovers won the premiership would you consider them as a big club in the premiership, Leicester won two leauge cups in the last few years.

Colne Dynomos are a club that spring to mind when I think of Canvey.
BASICALLY SHOW SOME RESPECT CANVEY FOR THE GREAT NAMES THAT YOU NOW HAVE THE PRIVILAGE OF PLAYING AGAINST, COME BACK WITH YOUR ARRIGENCE IN 20 YEARS WHEN YOU HAVE A FEW MORE GIANTKILLING ACTS UNDER YOUR BELT, SOME MORE TROPHY WINS AND MAYBE A SPELL IN THE CONFERENCE.
ps before you lot start on my spelling i only write how i think you lot read

We welcome the EFM to cheer us on!!!
Just so you can practise, we had some 'new' songs on the go last Saturday;
'If you hate Canvey Island, clap your hands (clap, clap)'
'We love you Bedford, we do!' was also sounding out during the 2nd half - can't think why!!!
I think that a lot of people want the pretenders from Essex to stay in the Ryman just so they can continue to take the p### - sounds good to me!!!
See you all on the 26th.
Not counting my chickens, but it's looking good.

This is a reply to Eagles original message....

You really asked for all you got on the terraces on Saturday. I was standing next to you and even little john managed to learn a new word to insult you!! If I came to your place I would never stand in front of the bulk of your fans and start chanting (on my own) I mean you pissed me off and I'm normally a rather quiet chap. In future when you go to away games don't stand with the home fans and you won't get insulted - simple as. Now get off our forum!

mmmm we have the full spectrum of canvey haters on here.. connex daz who's main mission in life is to brown nose on every other teams website..3 bedford boys who are experts in carpentry and long term weather forecasting and also have degrees in gobshite as they are now going to stay up.. and of course our old fave fluffy coat boy who informs us that the albans were strutting their stuff at clarence park whilst you could still see dinosaurs stomping around, im sure your proud of your clubs massive haul of silverware shame its all nicked cutlery really, and why would anyone listen to a history lesson from someone still at college studying to be a pot boy at the spotted bull?

3 quick points:
1. We are happy for all supporters of Gravesend and Bedford to join EFM's anti - canvey brigade.
2.Oi! Bedford we started the garden shed song (good isn't it)
3. I (fluffy coat man) am in fact 27 and therefore looking very good for my age!

I've just realised what has happened - we have turned into the non league Manchester United! Every one hates them cos they keep winning, just hope we follow suit.

Message to Canv.....
Brown nosing? Quite how you have come to that conclusion I will never know!
With all do respect, I do not hate Canvey Island. However, I am Fleet through & through - as you are our rivals this season, one assumes that it would be only natural to engage in harmless banter. You really shouldn't take things to heart old chap!
Mind you, I do find the postings on here by EFM quite humourous!
Looking forward to the 26th!

Too close to call...

Im actually quite flattered that the mighty EFM give us so much attention. I too find the postings amusing. I reckon a college essay was sacraficed for the last one. Just looking forward to the result of their Mr & Mrs Canvey competition. Although I reckon they'll rig it and their very own Jon Farmer will win.
Gravesend playing host to the "largest firm in the Ryman league - Gerthcha" See you on the 26th then (study periods that afternoon presumeably ?)

Which team will you be cheering for I wonder ?

The flattery goes on and on. Look at the various message boards; who is everyone talking about? Canvey Island. Most of it is dross and insults about the ground, Jeff King's money and other 'Essex Girl' type drivel - but they still talk about us.
Looked on G&N's discussion board this morning and what did I see, another load of messages talking about Canvey Island. Almost as many posts about the Gulls as there was for their game last night. I also heard that at Billericay games they clap and sing about Canvey Island. I realise it's supposed to be about hating Canvey, but when was the last time anybody at Park Lane even thought about 'Riccay? Let alone sing a song about them. So many Ryman football fans have got Canvey Island on the brain. Small brain, perhaps, but some of them have got it bad.
Then there's spoof competitions and polls about us. Always they're thinking about us, how much they dislike us, how they can insult us, how they can try to wind us up. But it's Canvey Island that is the target, the club on so many people's minds, in so many people's thoughts.
It is a form of flattery because remember, there is no such thng as bad publicity, just publicity - and they're giving us loads of that.
Merv CIFC
